arketing Manager - Sweet
REPORTS TO: Category Director, Sweet
General Scope
The Senior Customer Marketing Manager works closely with the commercial and R&D teams to develop and help grow the beverage category through market analysis, effective resource management, collaboration, and innovation of processes and projects. This position interacts with all internal departments and is customer facing. Duties And Responsibilities
Manages all marketing activities needed to develop and present valuable solutions to existing and new customers, working closely with sales and applications to achieve profitable growth.
Manage customer/category market, trend and customer analysis supporting customer prioritization and contribute to development of a holistic business category strategy and resource expense budget.
Organize and manage high-value customer engagements; recommend data-based concepts and market driven solutions for demonstration in response to customer briefs and proactive requests.
Lead execution through collaboration with account management, applications, flavor creation and other cross-functional partners.
Create compelling presentations in PPT and/or Canva and present to customers as a part of a cross-functional team.
Translates MANE’s competencies and new technologies into value propositions for the business and its customers
Work collaboratively with Consumer Insights, Communications/Graphics, and Global Marketing Teams to utilize and apply primary research information to actionable customer messaging
Provide customer marketing support and input on select global and national account cross-functional teams
Create and co-manage flavor collections programs with the Portfolio team as well as other proactive customer engagement tools and programs
Work with the marketing communications partners to develop and manage category trade communications and brand promotion programs
Attend category relevant trade events to monitor industry trends
Maintain close awareness of competitor activities and recommend actions as appropriate and necessary to maintain leadership advantage.
Travel expectation 25%
Other duties as assigned by management.
Education And Experience
Bachelor’s degree required with a preference in Marketing or Business Management, MBA a plus.
Minimum 8 years+ of marketing experience
Experience with marketing research and building compelling presentations with PowerPoint, Canva or similar a must; video, graphics, Adobe a plus.
Trade research and social media literate
Proven track record of creative project management and execution within a cross-functional environment
Flavor, seasoning and/or food ingredient B2B industry and market category experience preferred.
Ability to manage and coach team members.
