Events & Marketing Coordinator

The North Carolina League of Municipalities is seeking a part-time Events & Marketing Coordinator. This position will support the Strategic Communications & Member Engagement team, and report to the Assistant Director of SCME. Duties include but are not limited to:
- Work with the SCME team members to prepare materials for courses and events, reconcile attendance records after events, and provide on-site assistance as needed;
- Respond to member inquiries and serve in a customer support role for members with registration, payment, and website questions;
- Coordinate regular media tracking emails; compile metrics on communications projects, and prepare memos as directed;
- Maintain inventory of both printed and promotional items;
- Update CRM database as needed, and assist with other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Preferred bachelor’s degree or equivalent in in Event/Meeting Planning, Communications, PR, Marketing or related fields.
- 0-3 years of communications experience.
- Strong interpersonal and written communication skills, ability to meet deadlines, attention to detail, and the ability to work as a member of a fast-paced team.
- Experience with Microsoft Office products, “drag and drop” mass email software, social media posting software are crucial.
Schedule will be approximately 15-19 hours per week, including a hybrid work schedule that includes some office and on-site event work. Pay is commiserate with experience, but will not exceed $28 per hour.
