POSITION SUMMARY

The basic function of the Marketing Manager is to promote, advocate and coordinate efforts to enhance Company sales, branding and marketing efforts. The Marketing Manager reports to the Vice President of Sales.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Determines the service to be offered consistent with the company's mission and ongoing evaluation process
  • Identifies the unique service demands each customer requires and solicits business from these customers with an open eye to expanding and maximizing service realized from each account
  • Directs the Company's efforts in developing and maintaining reliable service capability
  • Monitors pricing and trends in the territory
  • Researches and analyzes the marketplace to determine increased sales potential in the current niche and evaluate market possibilities
  • Develops the programs necessary to pursue new accounts and secure new business for the company
  • Provides leadership and territory Management necessary for the success of the territory's marketing effort
  • Analyzes & monitors territory sales statistics to help formulate a strategic direction for an effective marketing plan
  • Measures performance to plan & shares in making the necessary adjustments to maintain profitability goals
  • Presents sales reports in a timely fashion
  • Provides effective customer service by assuming the "Role of the Customer" to communicate to the Customer BENGAL'S emphasis in technical knowledge, quality, timeliness, shipping procedures, transactional paperwork and payment procedures
  • Investigates all Customer complaints and develops permanent solutions for Customer Service problems
  • Monitors and controls expenditure of the territory Sales and Marketing function to conform to budgetary requirements
  • Establishes short-range and long-range planning of Sales and Marketing
  • Knows Customer base, competition and sales territories
  • Consistently upgrades selling skills by analyzing opportunities and failures, seeking management's guidance and assistance
  • Provides for Customer education including Seminars, Trade Shows and Brochures
  • Controls and monitors Promotional Programs
  • Maintains, develops and increases Customer accounts
  • Works with Management to collect Accounts Receivable
  • Attends Sales training and meetings
  • Maintain an active prospect and quotation system
  • Assembles consumer rating reports by compiling, consolidating, formatting and summarizing information, graphs and presentations
  • Updates competitor database by inputting data from field sales; compiling, consolidating, formatting and summarizing information, graphs and presentations; distributing reports
  • Prepares mailers and brochures by formatting content and graphics; arranging printing and internet packages
  • Maintains Marketing library by checking and replenishing inventory
  • Provides marketing tracking and research information by collecting, analyzing and summarizing data and trends
  • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities
  • Accomplishes marketing and organization mission by completing related results as needed
  • Manages quarterly company newsletter
  • Handles and/or assists with even planning as well as sponsorship opportunities
  • Manages, composes or obtains press releases written on Company's behalf
  • Manages social media outlets and company websites
