Description

DKN Hotels is a premier hotel management company with a rapidly growing portfolio of hotels in Southern California. We are looking for a creative, verbally gifted, self-motivated, DKN values-driven, and strategic-minded individual to join our Marketing Department! The Marketing Coordinator provides marketing project management and administrative support for the portfolio and will assist with marketing operations as assigned by the Director of Marketing.

This is a hybrid position working four days out of our Irvine, CA Support Center.

Your responsibilities would include but are not limited to:
  • Support the Marketing Department and portfolio in the development and execution of marketing programs
  • Work with agencies and the Director of Marketing to collaborate in the creation of various marketing campaigns, sales collateral, etc.
  • Create compelling copy and content in line with all brand guidelines and standards
  • Aid in reputation management strategy administration and review site maintenance for DKN Hotels portfolio
  • Assist in managing and updating company websites and ensure creative assets are up to date/current across all sites and platforms
  • Aid in the implementation of marketing strategies on social media channels (Facebook, Instagram, etc.)
  • Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual performance reports for hotels' various marketing programs
  • Assist in managing platforms and systems used by Brand and DKN Marketing Department to help better guide and train operations and sales teams
  • Handle incoming communications regarding DKN Hotels and the DKN Hotels portfolio
  • Liaise with internal sales and operations teams as well as various outside vendors
  • Source promotional items and materials
  • Assist in the execution of events and photo/video shoots
  • Stay current on the latest hospitality trends and best practices
  • Other duties or projects as assigned

Qualifications
Job Requirements/Desired Skills:
  • Bachelor's Degree (Marketing, Communications, Business or Hospitality preferred)
  • 2+ years hospitality experience (hospitality marketing experience at portfolio/corporate level a plus)
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Copywriting and content creation experience
  • Sound understanding of marketing principles
  • Ability to manage a campaign budget
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with graphic design and print process
  • Be able to operate under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud a plus
  • Must be able to take initiative and see projects through from start to finish
  • Organized and proactive with strong attention to detail
  • Typing Speed: 50+ WPM minimum and computer proficient

Physical Requirements

Sitting for extended periods. Frequently walking indoors, outdoors, up and down stairs, sitting, bending, stooping, twisting, reaching, lifting and carrying. Reaching above, at and below shoulder level. Lifting and carrying unassisted up to 20 lbs.
