Overview: Full Time

The Marketing and Events Coordinator will help elevate the Scheels brand by executing an annual schedule of world-class events, managing local marketing initiatives, and creating programs that increase store traffic. The associate will professionally represent Scheels by working with the Marketing Lead to create event and outreach strategies that align with the store goals.

Responsibilities:

Event Planning & Support

  • Responsible for organizing and executing select top tier experiences for our customers
  • Place signage orders or events and marketing initiatives
  • Drive traffic/sales through in-store interaction
  • Utilize all available resources (vendor relationships, rental partners, etc) to create unforgettable experiences
  • Event Recaps - Compile notes from all involved parties to recap each event

Gift Card Tracking

  • Maintain a full list of active gift cards to monitor ROI on all event specific giveaways

Training Room Rentals

  • Fulfill requests for use of the Training Rooms
  • Manage Training Room Calendars (Internal & External)
  • Primary point of contact for Training Room meeting/event setup and teardown

Education and Experience:

Bachelors degree in Business, Marketing, or related field; 2-4 years of related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience

Activity:

Must be able to sit, stand, bend at the waist, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, walk, push/pull, lift, talk, and hear with or without reasonable accommodation.

Medium Work – Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 - 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Physical demand requirements are in excess of those light for work.

Scheels cares about the health and safety of our associates. Associates are expected to follow all safety procedures and perform their job duties in a fashion that minimizes the risk of injury.

Schedule:

Must be flexible to work assigned schedule between 9a.m. and 9p.m., Monday through Saturday, 11a.m. and 7p.m., Sunday. Schedule may include varied hours, evenings, weekends, and holidays, must be available minimum of three weekends a month. Average hours per week is 25 hours.
