Reporting into the brands Senior Director of Marketing, the Retail Brand Marketing Senior Manager will be responsible for driving sales opportunities, account management, channel development planning, and identifying methods to reach the brands goals. In this role, you will ensure efficient and effective account management is in place to grow and expand Tracee Ellis Ross hair care company, and other projects as assigned.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Drive retail marketing opportunities and establish sales plans to deliver revenue growth as established by the business team
* Forecast sales, prepare sales analysis and reviews on a weekly and monthly basis; identify insights on products, customers and the market, and stay up-to-date on the changing landscape and category trends
* Partner with key domestic & international retailer teams on promotional and merchandising activations, facilitating the implementation of all programs and reporting on KPIs
* Project manage all market meetings, merchandising planning, line reviews, seasonal pitches, promotional opportunities, and more to ensure objectives across sales, marketing and product development are met
* Own retail marketing calendar for all retail channels, assessing ROI, performance and revenue opportunities.
* Leverage syndicated data, competitive intelligence, and macro consumer trends to best position PATTERN in the marketplace and to understand the effectiveness of promotions.
* Develop and maintain ongoing marketplace and competitive audits (for your customer set), including product assortment, placement, pricing and promotional activity
* Research, learn and develop a strong understanding of your customer set and the business, industry, economic model, organizational trends and customer needs.
* Work cross-functionally with Product Development, Sales, Operations, Digital, Ecommerce and Creative Teams to ensure forecasts & retailers needs are understood and met
* Help coordinate all Trade Marketing, promotional development and customer sales initiatives
KEY SKILLS:
* 7+ years retail marketing, brand manager or sales experience encompassing beauty, retailer or consumer packaged goods
* Experience in Sales, Trade Marketing, Shopper Marketing, Retail buying or Category Management preferred
* Experience calling on Ulta, Sephora or Target a plus
* Data-driven project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
* An entrepreneurial spirit with high comfort level in an evolving, fast-paced environment and a willingness to roll up your sleeves to do whatever it takes to build the brand.

* Excellent business communication skills, written and oral
* Strong planning, analytical &organizational skills
* Experience with IRI or syndicated data analysis preferred
* Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work across multiple levels of the organization
* Strong knowledge and passion for hair care or beauty industry and products. Experience in textured hair is a plus
* Adept at staying ahead of trends and on top of emerging social media/marketing/e-commerce technologies to gain competitive insights.
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
