Job Description:
Reporting to the Marketing and Communications Director, the Product Marketing Manager assists in the creation and management of omnichannel marketing for insurance products of high complexity (e.g., Medicaid, Medicare, CHIP, FEHB, Individual and Small Employer, ancillary products and self-insured administration). This role assists in the development of the annual marketing plan, in addition to the development and deployment of marketing and communication strategies to support the growth, retention, and performance of applicable product lines.
The role has responsibility for developing and supporting marketing and communication strategies, including direct to consumer, Business to Consumer (B2C), Business to Business (B2B), and Business-to-Business-to-Consumer (B2B2C), across the various geographies where products are offered. This also includes management of associated vendor/partner relationships and contracts.
Job Essentials
Identifies target market segments and ensures execution of multiple direct to consumer, B2C, B2B, and B2B2C marketing strategies through an omnichannel approach (e.g., direct mail, digital, TV, radio) to drive leads and retention and meet financial objectives.
Supports the development and implementation of marketing and communication strategies using an omnichannel approach across the various geographies where products are offered. Utilizes effective marketing/communication strategies for current customers, prospective customers, as well as agents/agencies.
Oversees the development and execution of a direct to consumer strategy and manages the agency relationships and associated budget.
Manages the aggregation of campaign/consumer data to share in easily assimilated formats. Uses data to determine segmentation, modeling, and targeting for customer segments and subsegments.
Ensures product line marketing supports SelectHealth membership growth goals and financial objectives. Guides next best actions for digital marketing campaigns. Helps determine KPIs and monitors the effectiveness of omnichannel campaigns and messages and adjusts accordingly to ensure achievement of lead generation and other objectives for the targeted segments in each geography. Delivers dashboard results to leadership.
Manages year-round digital outreach opportunities for current customers, prospective customers, as well as agents/agencies and guides the creation of associated assets as appropriate.
Implements initiatives that result in positive outcomes. May lead cross functional teams or direct reports in successful completion of projects. Utilizes resources from multiple Marketing teams, including Creative Services, Public Relations, and Customer Experience to oversee the development and successful launch of prioritized and budgeted client marketing initiatives.
Assists in evaluating new marketing opportunities based on geographic/service area expansion, new market entry, and potential strategic partnerships to meet growth objectives. Assists in the marketing of new products.
Guides the interface with the Consumer Insights/Market Intelligence team to understand opportunities for capturing feedback that will inform the annual marketing plan, marketing promotion, and member communication efforts. Monitors national carrier and local competitor marketing, positioning, strategies, networks, as well as local and national industry trends, and identifies input that may impact the annual marketing plan.

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in communications, English, marketing, public relations, or business obtained through and accredited institution. Degree will be verified.
Demonstrated experience in marketing, account management, ad agency, or retail promotion, health insurance or healthcare communications or promotion, communications, or public relations.

Demonstrated advanced experience working with word processing and other office software, desktop publishing programs, and multi-media presentation tools.

Experience with digital marketing writing, design, or placement.

Demonstrated ability to work autonomously.

Experience with budget management in a business setting.
Preferred Qualifications
At least eight years’ experience in marketing, account management, ad agency, or retail promotion, health insurance or healthcare communications or promotion, communications, or public relations.

At least seven years’ experience managing marketing and communications projects with high complexity.

Demonstrated ability to understand health insurance products and services.

Demonstrated experience using Salesforce Marketing Cloud

The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.
