POSITION TITLE: Associate Creative Director - Video Production & Photography
POSITION SUMMARY:

Responsible for producing top level multimedia marketing creative video content for Aerie/OFFLINE brands that engage, inform and inspire our audiences.

This role will oversee all aspects of video content creation - elevate and drive creative vision, conceptual direction and development, art direction, creative management, production and implementation of video production. This role requires a creative leader with a strong vision, excellent storytelling abilities, and the ability to manage and inspire a team of video producers, directors, editors, and designers. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of current video trends, technologies, and best practices, and will be able to translate business goals into compelling visual narratives.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Manage and lead a team to include videographers, video editors, agency partners and producers. Lead in house teams for on location video direction/capture, DP, shoot details, post production management of editing, design, and motion graphics
  • Responsible for creative and art direction as well as production of all video related content (stores, website, digital & media), including creative direction for social capture needs (iPhone etc.)
  • Collaborate with leadership on creative strategy for video/photo planning for seasonal campaign needs, including storyboards/creative narrative, pre-production planning and on-set capture direction as the DP
  • On photo shoots, direct the visual look of the film or video production as DP. This role involves working closely with the CD and production team to translate the CD vision into compelling visual storytelling. Oversee all aspects of cinematography, including lighting, camera work, shot composition, and visual effects.
  • Lead post-production and delivery of customer facing video creative marketing throughout all channels
  • Develop and manage budgets with in - house operations and producer partners
  • Lead creative strategy for audio production, music licensing and music selection for all channels.
  • Research and present new and emerging creative approaches to photography and video
  • Remain aware of industry trends and developments and recommend changes to ensure the Aerie/OFFLINE brands remain current and competitive
  • Manage and handle multiple projects simultaneously with ease and professionalism as the team manages multiple seasons of content at a time.
  • Report to VP Creative of Aerie/OFFLINE brands
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • BFA in Graphic Design/Photography required. Advanced degree preferred.
  • 8+ years' experience in creative leadership position for design, art direction, and conceptual development. Experience with specialty retail brands & online retail business is a plus.
  • 4+ years in a leadership role.
  • Travel is required, including the potential for international travel
  • High degree of proficiency in Adobe Creative, Google Docs, MS Office Suite, Outlook & Internet applications
  • Strong analytical, prioritizing, interpersonal, problem-solving, presentation, budgeting, project management (from conception to completion), & planning skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated collaborative skills and ability to work well within a team
  • Ability to work with and influence peers and senior management
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment
  • Self-motivated with critical attention to detail, deadlines, and reporting.

  • Actual starting pay is determined by various factors, including but not limited to relevant experience and location.
