Job Description
GENERAL STATEMENT OF FUNCTION:
The Content Coordinator is a member of the Student Services team and is responsible for overseeing the College's social media strategy on existing and emerging social media platforms. The Social Media Content Coordinator will also assist in taking portraits of college administration, faculty, staff, students, athletics, alumni, community leaders, college events, and facilities. The position also provides support for special projects and events as directed by the college administration.
Job Duties
SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Ability to work evening and weekend events as required, as well as exceptional adherence to work schedules and office hours.
  2. Superior written and verbal communication skills.
  3. Maintain and grow the college's existing social media networks, as well as create and grow the college's brand on new emerging social media platforms.
  4. Oversee day-to-day management of the college's social media efforts, including, but not limited to the development and maintenance of a social media calendar.
  5. Drive engagement with social media followers.
  6. Identify opportunities to influence public perception through audience engagement and publicly speaking about the college's social media strategy.
  7. Anticipate the future direction of the industry using both research and professional insight to bring the college into the forefront of that trajectory.
  8. Capture a variety of photographs for social media posts and other marketing materials.
  9. Record, produce and edit videos for social media posts, advertising, marketing, public relations, athletics, and special events.
  10. Coordinate select efforts involving college employees and/or students who produce social media content for college use.
  11. Make recommendations to supervisor for acquisition of new hardware, software or other equipment related to performance of duties.
  12. Maintain consistent branding across social media, video, audio, and other digital media.
  13. Manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  14. Participate in departmental planning and achievement of college institutional commitments.
  15. Represent the college with courtesy, respect and commitment to excellent customer service.
  16. Assist with special events as required.
  17. Assist with other college communications through various channels as required.
  18. Maintain a professional working relationship with college personnel, students and the community.
  19. Process communications internally and externally in an effective and timely manner.
  20. Upgrade skill level and performance through professional development.
  21. Adhere to all college policies and procedures.
  22. Other duties as assigned by the college administration.
Mandatory Qualifications
MANDATORY :
(M1)
Minimum of an Associate degree in Marketing, Public Relations, or related field.
(M2)
Knowledge and experience working with social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, X, TikTok, and other existing and emerging technologies.
(M3)
Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects, work under pressure, and meet deadlines.
( M4)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
(M5)
Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with others and work in a team environment.
Desirable Qualifications
DESIRABLE:
(D1)
Bachelor's Degree in related field.
(D2)
Demonstrated knowledge of photographic and video production principles, practices and techniques.
(D3)
Experience with photographic and video editing software such as Adobe Photoshop, Premiere, After Effects, and other existing and emerging technologies.
(D4)
Experience identifying and creating campaigns for target audiences.
(D5)
Graphic design experience.
(D6)
Live video production experience.
