Job Purpose: The purpose of the Plaza Marketing Manager is to plan and implement community events that provide positive public relations, cultivate community contacts, and increase market awareness to continuously advance the mission and goals of Camperdown and its Stakeholders (Deca, AC Hotel and Falls Tower).
Essential Job Functions
  • Collaborate with leadership to develop strategies that will broaden and deepen the plaza's impact in the community in which it operates.
  • Work in conjunction with AURO Hotels and the Camperdown Owners to plan, communicate, and execute regular community events in the best interest of all parties.
  • Take initiative to work with community leaders and organizations to create a vibrant events calendar. Coordinate schedule with hotel (Sales, Banquets, Rooms) and Camperdown Operations Team and Neighborhood stakeholders.
  • Execute event logistics, paying attention to detail, and communicating effectively with all parties.
  • Promote schedule of events and Camperdown news, according to company standards.
  • Create graphics for web and social media.
  • Oversee social media, website, and community messaging in all marketing or media materials.
  • Respond and serve as a spokesperson for Camperdown.
  • Create and work within an annual budget for plaza events and expenses, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of transactions.
  • Track all client contracts, fees, payments while maintaining correspondence with the accounting department to assure all company, State and Federal guidelines are being followed.
  • Purchase and maintain event supplies, equipment and materials including sound system, signage, etc.
  • Attend weekly meetings with Camperdown Operations Team to maintain open communication about schedules, maintenance, events, retailer needs, logistics, etc.
Other Duties and Responsibilities
  • Complies with Company Standards of Service as outlined for AURO Hotels.
  • Projects a favorable image of Camperdown and AC Hotel to the public at all times.
  • Performs all duties and responsibilities in a timely and efficient manner in accordance with established company policies and procedures to achieve the overall objectives of this position. Treats guests, vendors, customers and co-workers with professionalism and respect at all times.
  • Completes Departmental, AURO Hotels and Brand training as assigned.
  • Maintains a clean and neat appearance at all times.
  • Empowered to guarantee total guest satisfaction, display hospitality and professionalism to our guests at all times, take pride in representing AC Hotel Greenville and Camperdown professionally with guests, assuring that all transactions are handled in a legal and ethical manner.
  • Understands and applies all safety and security procedures to maintain a secure and safe environment for associates and guests at all times.
  • Maintains a favorable working relationship with all company associates to foster and promote a positive working environment.
  • Must be able to work flexible work hours/schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays.
Experience/Education

Bachelor's degree from a four-year College or University; excellent written and verbal communication skills; basic graphic design skills; a minimum of 2 years PR and community relations, event, marketing, and social media experience with a proven track record in a fast-paced environment; hospitality experience highly recommended.

Language Ability
Excellent written and verbal communication skills needed.


Math Ability
Able to perform basic math needed to create invoices and maintain budgeting.


Physical Demands

Work for this position is usually performed in a climate-controlled environment. However, the associate may be required to work outside in heat, cold, rain, wind or inclement weather as the demands of the position so dictate. While performing the duties of this job, the associate is occasionally required to work with hands and arms and lift up to 40 pounds.
