Candidates should have a strong science background and experience leading the creation of new communications channels. When you join Cleveland Clinic, you'll be part of a supportive caregiver family that will be united in shared values and purpose to fulfill our promise of being the best place to receive care and the best place to work in healthcare.This position is hybrid - Cleveland Clinic Main Campus and remote (work from home).Responsibilities Leads the development of LRI's editorial calendar, style guide, and participates in the creation of new communications channels - such as newsletters and email blasts.Oversees the editorial responsibilities of the editorial team.Determines the effectiveness of current communications and innovates new ways to enhance them - Intranet site, email, social media.Acts as liaison between client areas and marketing staff.Ensures deadlines and timelines are adhered to including overseeing deadlines of freelance writers.Functions as sole contact to specific institute or department leadership.Collaborates with client areas and graphic designers to determine appropriate graphic presentation of copy.Conducts interviews with physicians, institute/department chairmen, clinicians, patients and other sources.Writes and edits copy for newsletters, brochures, direct mail pieces, displays and other collateral materials, as well as speeches and copy for the Web.Conducts secondary research for publication development.Oversees enterprise-wide and multidisciplinary clinical projects such as annual reports and special one-time on various committees throughout the duties as assigned.Education:Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, English or closely related field.Certifications: None requiredComplexity of Work: Excellent writing, editing, grammar and proofreading skills.Strong working knowledge of all forms of communication (print, electronic and social media).Demonstrated ability to organize and handle multiple priorities and projects simultaneously.Effective interpersonal skills needed to conduct interviews with physicians, nurses, patients and people at all levels inside and outside the be self-motivated and have a demonstrated ability to produce quality results.Ability to work closely with senior leadership and in team environments.Creativity and experience with publication production a plus.Knowledge of communication practices in healthcare or another industry(ies).Work Experience: Minimum of 7 years experience in a communication/marketing function to include experience in writing, editing, researching and preparing material for additional four years of progressively responsible relevant experience may substitute for the degree requirement.Physical Requirements: Ability to perform work in a stationary position for extended periods.Ability to operate a computer and other office equipment.Ability to travel throughout the hospital system.Ability to communicate and exchange accurate some locations, ability to move up to 15 lbs."Personal Protective Equipment: Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.Pay RangeMinimum hourly: $30.41Maximum hourly: $46.38The pay range displayed on this job posting reflects the anticipated range for new hires.
