The Global Culinary Kitchen division is eager to welcome a critical role, Shopper Marketing Specialist onto the marketing team.

This role will execute and optimize in-store marketing programs (retail merchandising displays and point of sale communications) to drive brand growth and awareness and delight consumers. You will bring high-impact programs to life, lead cross functional teams and unlock new opportunities. This role is a critical driver of division success and transformation.

The Shopper Marketing Specialist should consistently demonstrate a passion for finding consumer and customer solutions, fostering a collaborative, team-oriented work environment, and staying agile in an environment of constant change.

Summary of Key Responsibilities:
Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:

  • Execute shopper marketing strategies that drive sales and increase brand awareness
  • Lead cross functional team through planning, project management, commercialization of displays and point of sale marketing programs, and analysis of program effectiveness
  • Manage budgets for shopper marketing initiatives
  • Lead relationships with strategic vendor partner(s) that design, create, build, and deploy shopper marketing programs
  • Establish best practices and develop innovative strategies to make program executions seamless
  • Monitor and optimize business performance against shipment, consumption, financial, and waste targets
  • Monitor and analyze the effectiveness of shopper marketing campaigns and make improvement recommendations
  • Proactively identify and propose innovative solutions to resolve challenges that impact project schedule, cost or execution
  • Liaise daily with customer development and sales partners to deeply understand customer forecasts, retail risk and opportunities, and manage timelines toward forecast lock dates
  • Collaborate regularly with supply chain to ensure efficient and effective production plans as it relates to shopper marketing programs and own waste mitigation management
  • Conduct research and analysis with consumer analytics teams to gain insights into consumer behavior and preferences
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices in shopper marketing
  • Prepare presentation materials and deliver compelling presentations to partners/leadership
  • Some travel to provide on-site design support, become familiar with display build details, and evaluate end result

Key Competencies:

  • Strong understanding of consumer behavior and preferences
  • Initiative (must demonstrate ability to provide value added analytical work based on own understanding of business needs/impactors vs just providing what is asked for)
  • Integrity (provides objective point of view and ensures accuracy in details of their work/analysis)
  • Communication (demonstrates confidence; able to make clear and concise presentations/recommendations to all levels of organization)
  • Business Acumen (ability to understand overall business strategy and drivers; perform analytics to address business questions vs needing to be told step by step process)
  • Excel and PowerPoint skill

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • 3-5 years of experience working with Customers, Sales, and HQ teams
  • 2-4 years project management experience in a cross-functional environment
  • 2-4 years forecasting experience
  • Experience in technical packaging or display design a plus
  • Experience in a seasonal business a plus
  • Highly effective project management skills
  • Strong written and verbal skills
  • Critical attention to detail
  • Proactive and solution oriented
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite
