Position Overview

This position is responsible for developing and executing the marketing strategy and for partnering on and executing the Go-to-market (GTM) revenue campaigns for the Global Clients Division (GCD) and all of our main business lines within North America in alignment with the CCO, and Global Product Organization. The Head of North America & GCD Marketing manages a global team of marketing managers who are responsible for delivering the marketing strategy for North America, GCD and Product areas and working with the international marketing coverage leads and ABM team to ensure the revenue campaigns are customized appropriately by market and targeted at the leads defined, in partnership with sales, by each coverage head. A key part of the role is to drive our One State Street value proposition and GTM approach across the different businesses precluding a siloed or singular solution approach when greater impact can be delivered with a more comprehensive one State Street solution set. Working in partnership with Corporate PR and Global Brand, this role is accountable for ensuring targeted and relevant PR and Media underpinning commercial priorities for North America and GCD stakeholders as well as ensuring our campaigns build and amplify the new corporate State Street brand and positioning. Close partnership with other channels like Thought Leadership and Digital will also be key. Success is clearly measured based on outcomes delivered as represented by revenue retention, growth and brand awareness coupled with employee engagement as measured by our annual survey. The Head of North America & GCD Marketing is a member of the Client Impact Leadership Team and also sits on the leadership teams of the Head of North America, GCD and Product to ensure that marketing is represented and accountable at the most senior management level.

Responsibilities & Tasks Include:

Develop global campaigns for use in other regions, while optimizing and targeting within NA/GCD. Work across North America business lines and GCD, in alignment with Product, to develop and execute revenue focused strategies leveraging campaigns, media, TL and targeted engagement

Manage the marketing team directly responsible for ensuring those plans are executed within specified timeframes and to budget - measuring and reporting on performance of campaigns

Act as the primary interface between marketing teams and senior business leadership team

Coach, mentor, motivate and supervise team members and influence them to take positive action and accountability for their assigned work

Build, develop, and grow any business relationships with the coverage and regional teams, vital to the success of the campaign / project

Deliver measurement impact to viable sales prospects with follow through to closure

Job Requirements:

Education and Experience:

15+ years of marketing experience, at least five of which are in a significant leadership role. B to B marketing experience in a publicly traded company and regulated industry is highly desirable.

Proven ability to tie demand creation efforts directly to revenue pipeline, including inbound marketing, lead nurturing and account-based marketing; A clear track record of aligning with sales around these areas is vital.

Experience in running a marketing function including shared services that support global marketing efforts; ability to demonstrate unique marketing differences around the globe and cultural fluency.

Excellence in verbal and written communications and knowledge of communications best practices

Experience managing marketing projects: online communications, events, brand/advertising, editorial, partnerships/sponsorships. This entails a good understanding of all marketing channels, including interactive and social media

Outstanding interpersonal skills and ability to interface with senior leadership across the organization

Working in matrix structures and cross cultural environments with an ability to operate on their own, as part of a team and globally

Ensuring that the highest level of the integrity and ethical behavior is continuously adhered to

Flexible hours may be required to manage projects across regions / time zones

Skills required :

Strong leadership skills and ability to influence at the most senior level

Agile leadership experience working in a matrixed environment with strong dependency on collaboration to deliver results

Managing a globally diverse team and understanding of different cultures

Experience and understanding of all marketing channels and demonstrated knowledge of the latest developments and opportunities in the industry eg AI, ABM, Performance marketing

Ability to operate within a fast-paced, global environment

Strategic, critical thinking and problem-solving abilities

Demonstrated accuracy and high attention to detail

Proven track record of execution

Salary Range:

$225,000 - $337,500 Annual

The range quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate would ultimately work outside of the primary location above, the applicable range could differ.
