Job Summary

The University of Colorado Boulder Athletics department encourages applications for multiple Athletic Communications Associate positions! Reporting to the Associate Athletic Director for Athletic Communications, these roles help develop and implement strategies within the University of Colorado Boulder Department of Intercollegiate Athletics. These positions will help with all sports, specifically football and men's and women's basketball, and also serve as the primary contact for one sport as assigned. Associates ensure that all communications strategies and execution fit within the broader context of the department, University, conference and NCAA goals and compliance requirements. This also includes helping provide a positive social media presence through a variety of digital media platforms and assisting with social strategy, execution and content creation on all platforms. This position is responsible for promoting the philosophy and objectives of the intercollegiate athletics program, which shall include adhering to the principles of the Athletic Department Mission Statement, Diversity and Inclusion Mission Statement, Core Values, Policies and Procedures, as well as the rules and regulations of the University, the Big -12 and the NCAA. What You Should Know

This is a 40 hours per week position.

This is a temporary nine-month appointment.

What We Can Offer

The hourly rate for this position is $18.00 per hour.

What We Require

Bachelor's Degree In Communication or a related field.

One year of working in a college or professional athletics communications office. Undergraduate and graduate experience is acceptable.

What You Will Need

Proficiency in the Microsoft and Adobe software packages.

Working knowledge of social media best practices.

Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion.

Strong written and editorial experience including social media, website content and print articles.
