Reporting to the Director of Public Relations, Special Events & Marketing and workingclosely with the Special Events and Public Relation Associate,

the Director of Marketing & DigitalStrategy creates and executes marketing plans to increase awareness, attendanceand engagement with the HSM&L’s exhibitions, programs and events.

Leads the development of digital marketing campaigns across various platforms, including social media, email marketing andwebsite optimization.

Also oversees the creation of compelling and relevant continent across digital platforms.

Ensures consistency of the HSM&L voiceacross all marketing channels and materials.ResponsibilitiesStrategic thinking around digital content and marketing of the HSM&L’s exhibitions, programs and events.Create content strategy across variousdigital platforms, including social media, email marketing and websiteoptimization.Coordinate with departments across the museum to promote exhibitions, programs and events.Manage and update website.Stay up-to-date with digital technology trends.Other duties as assigned.QualificationsB.A. in Communication or Marketing withMarketing or industry experience.Experience with website maintenance.Strong writing

and editing skills.Excellent interpersonal and presentations skillsAttention to detail, critical-thinker and problem-solver.Preferred QualificationBilingual in English/Spanish preferred.Interest in Hispanic art, literature, and culture helpful.Technology SkillsHootsuite, Illustrator, MS Power Point, andother design software.Expertise with social media platforms including Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube.Distinguishing CharacteristicsPosition requires: creating content to raise the visibility and digital relevanceof the HSM&L;Conveying the messages and values of the HSM&L;Engaging with digital audience, stakeholders and influencers;Monitoring and updating content under the supervision of the Director of Public Relations.
