We are looking for a proactive and innovative Director of Sales and Marketing to join our opening team and lead our efforts in establishing a strong market presence and driving revenue growth from day one.Position Overview:

The Director of Sales and Marketing will play a pivotal role in the successful launch and ongoing success of our luxury hotel. This leader will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive sales and marketing strategies, building a strong brand identity, a high-performance team and fostering lasting relationships with clients. The ideal candidate is a visionary with a deep understanding of luxury hospitality, a knack for creative marketing, and a proven record of accomplishment in driving sales.Key Responsibilities:1. Strategic Planning and Execution:Develop and implement strategic sales for group, banquets and catering and marketing plans to achieve revenue and occupancy targets.Collaborate with all other relevant leaders in the creation of comprehensive sales and marketing plan tailored to the Spa, outlets and Beach club focusing on short- and long-term goals.Identify and capitalize on new business opportunities, including corporate accounts, group events, weddings, and high-end leisure travelers.Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to refine strategies and maintain a competitive edge.2. Brand Development and Management:Establish and maintain a strong, recognizable brand identity for the hotel.Collaborate with design and PR teams to create visually appealing and effective promotional materials.Ensure all marketing efforts align with the hotel's brand values and standards.3. Team Leadership and Development:Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing sales and marketing team.Foster a collaborative and innovative culture within the department.Provide ongoing training and professional development opportunities for team members.4. Client Relationship Management:Cultivate and maintain relationships with key clients, travel agents, corporate partners, and event planners.Deliver exceptional service and personalized experiences to all clients.Represent the hotel at industry events, trade shows, and networking functions.5. Digital Marketing and Social Media:Oversee the development and execution of digital marketing campaigns, including SEO, SEM, email marketing, and social media.Leverage social media platforms to enhance brand awareness and engage with potential guests.Analyze digital marketing performance and adjust strategies to optimize results.6. Revenue Management:Work closely with the revenue management team to develop pricing strategies and maximize revenue.Utilize data analytics to forecast demand and adjust sales strategies accordingly.Manage the sales and marketing budget, ensuring effective allocation of resources.7. Innovation and Continuous Improvement:Continuously seek out innovative marketing and sales approaches.Stay informed about industry advancements and integrate new technologies and practices.Foster a culture of creativity and adaptability within the team.QUALIFICATIONS:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required:• 3-5 years related experience in luxury resorts/hotel group sales and catering• Must be able to work independently.• Knowledge of sales skills, revenue management, training, and motivation of peers.• Knowledge of hotel features, benefits, and competing hotels within the market.• Ability to execute appropriate action plans.• Knowledge of hotel operations, including security and safety programs.• Ability to operate standard Audio/Visual equipment.• Ability to work effectively under time constraints and deadlines.• Must provide valid document(s) to work in the US.• Must meet legal age requirements for the position.Join us in shaping the future of luxury hospitality in Santa Cruz.
