The Church Audio/Visual Manager oversees the Audio/Visual, Stage Management, Planning, and Talent Coordinating of GMC’s Hybrid In-Person/Virtual Celebrations.Core Responsibilities:The Church Audio/Visual Manager produces hybrid in-person/virtual Sunday Celebration.Sets up, installs, operates, tests, and troubleshoots audio and video equipment as needed for the best possible atmosphere for Sunday Celebration through sound reinforcement. This includes but is not limited to, leading in the creation of the best music mix possible, creating an audio mix that meets the mood the pastor wants to convey, and supporting the audio needs of the people involved with the church service.Recruits and train A/V Assistants.Runs AV system through the sanctuary Wirecast system.Creates and manages a Pre-Celebration, During Celebration, and Post-Celebration A/V Protocol, including audio and video equipment inventory, storage and safety.Integrates digital graphics/slides created in partnership with Church Creative Director.Collaborates closely with Minister of Celebration, Celebration Planning Team, and Musical DirectorLive streams Celebration Sunday mornings.Streams and uploads videos to all identified social media platforms.Runs presentation software.Work in church Sunday mornings from 7am-3pm (They may split the rest of their hours between in-person and remotely during the week for tech meetings, rehearsals, and A/V upkeep. The AV Technician must be available to work on all major holidays for Celebration services. The AV Technician is permitted to request, with proper notice, days off [excluding Thanksgiving, Easter or Christmas Eve]).Act as Ensemble and Change Band Manager for offsite gigs, assessing venue and coordinating with offsite AV venue management.Minimum Qualifications:Experience mixing audio successfully in the live environment or are willing to attend training and work alongside a mentor.3-4 years’ experience directing, managing, coordinating live production communities and online communities; will accept equivalent experience event coordination, meeting coordination, stage managing.An advance understanding of live church, live music or live theater production.Advanced understanding of sanctuary A/V systems and technologies used in Church production such as Livestream, Zoom, Wirecast, ECamm, Cameras, Cabling.Sound Boards, strategizing, troubleshoot, all in service of sharing Sunday.A “horizonal leadership style,” monitoring coming online technologies for ways to enhance and update our in-person online presence and platforms.Must be collaborative, creative, show design initiative and innovation,Able to meet deadlines, have strong communications skills and have a keen eye for detail and editorial/visual design care.Strong proficiency in Wire cast, Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, etc.),WordPress or equivalent content management system (CMS), HTML, Microsoft Publisher, Media Shout, and ability to work on Mac and PC platforms (Word/Pages, Excel/Numbers, PowerPoint/Keynote). Photography skills a plus.Proficiency with recording, projecting, streaming through various platforms: Ecamm, Zoom, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram.Experience and skills that are a plus:Ability to articulate, across platforms and audience, GLIDE Church values.Strong grasp of basic mathematical functionsProficiency in MS Office suite$66,000 - $70,000 a yearAt GLIDE, we ensure competitive and fair compensation by utilizing data from seven comprehensive pay surveys, including Gallagher, and analyzing over 450 nonprofits in our sector.
