We’re seeking a Principal UX Engineering Manager to lead a team of talented UX Engineers developing beautiful, consistent and delightful experiences for OneDrive and Lists. Keys to success encompass cultivating empathy for our customers, facilitating partnerships across the company, growing a team of stellar web and mobile-focused UX Engineers, and partnering closely with other disciplines to improve and scale the design system used by OneDrive web and mobile.About youThe candidate is passionate about solving problems and has a comprehensive understanding of engineering systems and coding best practices. They have a deep appreciation for quality and understand the work required to get there. Someone who has worked extensively with design systems, visual systems, and the design and development workflow. They have a demonstrated ability to build trusting relationships in cross-functional teams. Responsibilities

Coordinate planning and execution of technical projects with design, engineering, and PM teamsInspire, grow, and manage a team of UX Engineers at different levels of experience and skill setsWork cross-functionally to develop polished components and experiencesOffer alternatives when technology constraints require design compromisesEvangelize, document and teach both designers and engineers about the value and capabilities of the design system; listening to pain points and barriers and driving updates to controls and documentation to enable easier adoption and cohesionIdentify opportunities and build tools or workflows to reduce friction and increase efficiency and qualityCommunicate clearly and concisely with stakeholders about status and opportunitiesEmbody our culture and valuesQualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifi

ons8+ years experience working in product or service design and/or shipping production code

OR Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Graphic Design, Product Design, Visual Design, Human Computer Interaction, or related field AND 6+ years experience working in product or service design and/or shipping production codeOR Master's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Graphic Design, Product Design, Visual Design, Human Computer Interaction, or related field AND 4+ years experience working in product or service design and/or shipping production codeOR equivalent experience.

2+ years people management experience.Preferred

There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $173,200 - $282,200 per year.
