Webmaster/Social Media Stipend Position

Position Title: Webmaster/Social Media (WSM) Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, & Website
Department: Central Office
Reports To/Evaluated By: Superintendent & Director of Technology
Qualifications: Knowledge of social media and good written communication skills.
Summary of Job Goals and Expectations: In this position, we will provide information to staff, parents, guardians, students and the community regarding activities, events, and emergencies that are happening within the Ringgold School District. Duties should not be performed during the regular work day and are not eligible for overtime compensation. In the event duties are required during the regular work day, the regular work day will be extended.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Duties include but are not limited to:
    • Post photos sent by other faculty members or companies for major sporting or school sponsored events
    • Minimum of two posts a day__ including summer days

District Twitter

  • Responsible for day-to-day oversite and maintenance of district Twitter account
  • Duties include but are not limited to: posting announcements photos and building tweets. Any additional tweets as directed by the Superintendent

District Instagram

  • Responsible for day-to-day oversight and maintenance of District Instagram account
  • Duties include but are not limited to: posting announcements, photos and additional items as directed by the Superintendent

District Website

  • Responsible for day-to-day oversight of the district website
  • Duties include but are not limited to: posting announcements, photos, documents, adding events to the calendar, maintaining links, uploading weekly lunch menus and any information as directed by the Superintendent
  • As needed, includes but is not limited to: post closings and/or emergency information, post job openings, bids, financial information, board minutes, building maintenance documents
  • Maintain each buildings section of the website including specific building announcements, linking of their Calendars, Title I Information/Documentation, Building Directories and any other building related pages within the site
    • Work with building administrators to ensure positive promotion of all building activities
  • Remove old posts, when necessary, from website

District Facebook Page

  • Post announcements with links to the district website when applicable
  • Post photos sent by building administrators of activities going on in their schools
  • Post information from different district Twitter accounts on Facebook
  • Monitor comments on Facebook to ensure inappropriate comments are removed.

Evaluation:

Performance of this job will be evaluated annually in accordance with the provisions of the applicable policies of the Ringgold School District.

TERMS: 12 months
STIPEND AMOUNT: $5,000.00
