The Role

We're looking for a

Senior SEO Manager

to oversee and enhance the search engine optimization and analytics functions for our mega-scale e-commerce marketplace!

Reporting to the Chief Marketing Officer, this role is critical for optimizing site architecture, improving search visibility and leveraging data to drive strategic decisions. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with extensive experience in technical SEO for large-scale websites or marketplaces, as well as profound expertise in advanced analytics tools and techniques.

While our office is located in San Francisco, this position can be remote in CA, OR, CO or WA.

Key Accountabilities:Develop and execute the SEO strategy and roadmap based on opportunity analysis, SEO best practices and trends, sophisticated keyword research, continuous performance monitoring, and technical SEO diagnostics.Think from SEO first principles to develop and test hypotheses in controlled SEO tests in partnership with Product Managers and Engineers.Partner closely with Product and Engineering teams to ensure the latest technical SEO best practices are in place and the site's technical health is sound.Analyze ranking, crawl data, keyword performance, and competitors to identify SEO opportunities and risks.Develop hypotheses, lead large-scale SEO A/B tests, monitor, and make recommendations based on the results.Partner with data science and business analytics to develop SEO dashboards and prepare regular updates for business stakeholders on SEO performance.What You'll Bring:

Minimum of a Bachelor's degree and 5 years of relevant hands-on and technical SEO experience.Strong understanding of web development processes and technologies.Experience managing large ecommerce or marketplace websites with tens or hundreds of millions of unique URLs.Technical SEO experience, including internal linking optimization, schema markup, Core Web Vitals, and indexation health.Familiarity with SEO industry tools and resources, including Google Search Console and rank tracking tools.Comfortable using data to identify and analyze areas for improvements, excellent at both quantitative and qualitative analysis.History of driving complex projects in the face of ambiguity, demonstrable project management experience, and excellent communication skills, especially when sharing technical information with non-technical audiences.What We Offer:

We offer competitive compensation because we want to hire the best people and reward them for their contributions to our mission. We pay all employees relative to the San Francisco City market, regardless of their location. In pursuit of pay equity and fairness, the starting annual base salary for this position is anticipated to be $125k - $150k. The final offer may be determined by a number of non discriminatory factors, including experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities. All employees may be eligible for other forms of compensation such as stock-based compensation, which are awarded to employees annually, subject to board discretion.
