Join us as the IONNA User Experience (UX) Manager and play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our products and services. This role, reporting directly to the Director of Design & UX, will be responsible for driving the vision, strategy, and execution of our UX initiatives, ensuring that every interaction with our brand delights and inspires drivers across North America.

Responsibilities

Leading Entrepreneurship : Define the vision for our user experience initiatives, aligning them with our company's broader goals and objectives. Lead design and research internally and with external partners, pushing the boundaries of innovation and creativity in the customer UX space while aligning with the overall IONNA brand and product vision.

Customer-Centric Design : Champion a customer-centric approach to UX design, placing the needs and preferences of our users at the forefront of every decision. Conduct user research, gather feedback, and leverage insights to inform the design process and create intuitive, delightful world-class experiences that exceed user expectations on both an individual and community level.

Cross-Functional Collaboration : Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including product management, engineering, marketing, and customer support, to integrate user experience best practices into every stage of the product development lifecycle. Foster a culture of collaboration and teamwork, where diverse perspectives are valued and respected.

Design Thinking and Innovation:

Drive a culture of design thinking and innovation, where creativity and experimentation are encouraged. Foster a user-centered design mindset, where empathy, curiosity, and iteration are key drivers of success for IONNA.

UX Strategy and Road-mapping : Own, develop, and maintain a comprehensive UX strategy and roadmap, outlining key initiatives and milestones to guide our UX efforts. Prioritize initiatives based on user needs, business objectives, and technical feasibility, ensuring alignment with our overall product strategy. Manage initial and ongoing relationships with vendors and service providers relating to UX.

UX Research and Testing:

Lead the planning and execution of user research activities, including usability testing, interviews, surveys, and ethnographic studies. Gather qualitative and quantitative data to validate design decisions, identify opportunities for improvement, and drive continuous iteration and refinement.

Subject Matter Expert:

Act as the subject matter expert and owner of new products and UX solutions to support end-to-end customer and guest experiences.

Data-Driven Design : Leverage data and analytics to measure the impact of UX initiatives and drive data-driven design decisions. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), track user behavior, and iterate designs based on user feedback and insights. Manage and implement enhancements to UX to improve customer satisfaction while establishing, maintaining, and strengthening loyalty and trust with customers.

Thought Leadership : Stay abreast of industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in UX design. Share your knowledge and expertise with internal teams, contributing to the growth and development of our organization's UX capabilities.

Skills and Experience

Education: BS degree in a relevant field with a minimum of 5 years of demonstrable experience in UX design and UX research.Technical Skills: Proficiency in prototyping tools, wireframing software, HTML/CSS, or any other tools that are relevant to your work stream.Proven Leader and Doer: Demonstrated progressive success in contributing to and leading projects within a UX design or research organization.Strategic Thinker: Effective strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop and execute UX strategies that drive business results and deliver value to users.Exceptional Design Skills: Expertise in user-centered design principles, interaction design, information architecture, and visual design. Proficiency with design tools such as Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite, Lucid, Confluence, or Figma.User Research Expertise: Experience planning and conducting user research activities, including usability testing, interviews, surveys, and ethnographic studies. Ability to analyze and synthesize research findings to inform design decisions.Collaborative Team Player: Collaborative mindset and proven ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams, building consensus, resolving conflicts, and driving towards shared goals.Excellent Communication: Effective verbal, written, and presentation skills, including the ability to articulate complex ideas and concepts clearly and persuasively to both technical and non-technical audiences.Passion for UX: Genuine passion for user experience design and a deep understanding of human-centered design principles. A commitment to creating innovative, intuitive, and delightful experiences that empower and inspire users.Domain Experience: Experience in the automotive or EV charging industries is highly desirable, but not required.

This is a hybrid role. Must be able to work several days a week in office in Raleigh-Durham, NC
