Director of Financial Aid - Minneapolis College of Art and DesignMinneapolis, MNMCAD is seeking a Director of Financial Aid. This position is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Financial Aid Office and implementing policies and procedures to ensure the accurate, timely and compliant awarding and processing of federal, state, and institutional aid programs. The Director of Financial Aid must be sensitive to college needs, employee and student goodwill, and overall brand equity of MCAD as an employer and educational institution.EDUCATION & EXPERIENCEBachelor’s Degree, required.Six (6) years of responsible and successful leadership in financial aid or enrollment management, required.Demonstrated ability of successful data-driven financial aid strategies for both domestic and international students, experience with data management, predictive modeling, and aid integration with the admissions process.Expert knowledge of Title IV Federal Student Aid and state regulations, required.Ability to analyze financial aid operations regarding program compliance and system support, required.Expertise with U.S. Department of Education Systems (COD; NSLDS; EDconnect; SAIG) and high-level understanding of Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) regulations, required.Demonstrated ability to manage a department in a cooperative environment, required.Proficient in College Board PowerFAIDS software or equivalent, required.Strong database skills, including advanced experience with Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite, required.Skills in adaptability, independence, attention to detail, prioritizing, and problem solving, required.Interpersonal, organizational collaboration, and communications skills, required.Experience with a Higher Education environment, required.BACKGROUND:

Founded in 1886, Minneapolis College of Art and Design is located in the rich creative community of the Twin Cities. Recognized nationally and internationally for its innovative approaches to art and design education, MCAD is home to approximately 800 students from 45 states and 15 countries. The college offers bachelor’s degrees in fourteen disciplines including arts entrepreneurship, design, fine arts, and media arts; one MFA; three online master’s degrees; and continuing education classes for all ages. Through the core curriculum, students focus on their careers and craft by learning technical and professional skills while developing their creative leadership capabilities.
