Gurwin Healthcare System operates a Life Plan Community on its 36-acre Commack, Long Island campus that includes a 129-apartment independent living community (Fountaingate Gardens), a 210-apartment assisted living community (Gurwin Jewish ~ Fay J. Lindner Residences) and a 460-bed skilled nursing and rehabilitation center (Gurwin Jewish Nursing & Rehabilitation Center). In addition, the System operates medical and social model Adult Day Care Programs, a Licensed Home Care Services Agency, a Certified Home Health Agency, and the 120-bed Island Nursing and Rehab Center in Holtsville, NY.

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Community Marketer who exemplifies the passion and commitment needed to promote the mission of all service lines of the Healthcare System. The successful candidate will coordinate and oversee business development marketing initiatives that align with our overall brand strategy and expand the reach of our reputation of providing the gold standard of care and senior living experiences.

Requirements include:

· Bachelor’s Degree.

· 3 to 5 years of marketing experience, healthcare setting preferred.

· Excellent presentation, written and verbal communication skills; ability to communicate concepts and details

across internal and external stakeholders at all levels

· Proven track record in implementing marketing strategies.

· Must have an ability to analyze data, think strategically and creatively.

· Self-starter, able to adapt in a fast-paced environment, and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.

· Ability to think analytically and poses sharp problem solving skills.

· Familiarity with Jewish customs and traditions a plus.

· Local travel approximately 40 - 50% of the time. Flexibility with some evening and weekend hours due to events.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Responsible for developing, organizing and implementing the short-term and long-term marketing strategies of the various Gurwin entities in coordination with the marketing and sales team from each respective entity.

Establish and develop relationships within the community through networking with outside referral sources.

Use market data and analytics to organize programs and ideas for generating new initiatives for each entity and for Gurwin overall.

Serve as community liaison at various professional events, affiliations, strategic meetings including visiting hospitals, physician practices, etc. promoting Gurwin as the provider of choice.

Knowledgeable on all aspects of the Gurwin entities to educate the necessary community-based resources.

Create / coordinate special events and / or host marketing and speaking events at the different Gurwin entities.

Maintain an active database with potential referral sources and daily updates. Collect demographic information and generate reports.

Develop key metrics for each entity to ensure successful marketing efforts and to measure results.

Organize and present marketing reports to Gurwin leadership highlighting the overall marketing efforts of each entity.
