Digital Consultants is seeking a qualified Intermediate Information Computer Telecommunications Specialist to perform technical assignments in the general areas of C5ISR, AIS, and IT/NSS, applying broad technical knowledge in one or more areas on specific systems or applications for our work at Fort Huachua, AZ.
Duties to include:
Work requires knowledge of customary approaches, techniques, and requirements appropriate to the assigned C5ISR, AIS, and IT/NSS, including legacy systems and latest trends in related technologiesRequires specialized experience in evaluating, analyzing, maintaining, managing, or improving telecommunications system performanceFollows specific layout and diagrams to construct, implement, and operate devices and subunits of equipmentEnsures uninterrupted access to all telecommunication features in support of T&E effortsDesigns, develops, and tests telecommunications software solutionsReviews, analyzes, develops, installs, and modifies computer operating systemsAnalyzes and resolves problems associated with operating systemsInterprets manufacturer manuals or similar documentsDetects, diagnoses, and reports related problemsProvides user training of the telecommunications features and functionalityMakes suggestions to end users regarding communications software and hardware solutionsProvides documentation/project tracking and management reportingCoordinates upgrade specifications and schedules with internal or external users and ensures proper integrationProvides tactical and strategic input to overall network planning and related projectsRequirements
Must be familiar with a variety of the IT field's concepts, practices, and proceduresRelies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goalsPerforms a variety of complicated tasksA certain degree of creativity and latitude is required.Works under general supervisionTypically reports to a project leader, supervisor, or managerMust be adept at problem-solving, identifying risk, and communicating results and recommendations to department management.Clearance: SecretEducation/Experience:
Requires a Bachelor's degree; or an Associate's degree and at least 4 years of experience; a minimum of 60 semester hours of formal education working towards an Associate's or Bachelor's degree and at least 6 years of experience; or at least 8 years of experience is required. Additional certifications (other than those required for the position) in the area of specialization be substituted for experience or education but vary by certification. The degree must be in a relevant technical curriculum and experience must be related to the job duties.Certification : Sec+Physical :
The candidate, with or without reasonable accommodation, must physically be able to sit or stand for extended periods of time; lift objects up to 20 pounds; requires frequent physical hand dexterity and repetitive movements.
