Job purpose

Designs and produces graphic art and visual materials for print and digital media. Ensures that layout and design are aligned with brand and production standards and follow best practices. Creates and executes design solutions and collateral used for marketing, advertising, sales, and other forms of communication. Coordinates with cross-functional stakeholders and external agencies to conceptualize and deliver projects on time and budget. Experienced using a variety of design and editing tools and software such as Adobe Illustrator. Knowledge of color, composition, typography, digital design, working in layers, separations and production management. The Graphic Designer is expected to embody and actively contribute to a positive and engaging company culture.

Main Responsibilities

Product Packaging

Ensure that consumer/customer-facing product packaging is clear and distinctive on shelf and connects to the primary jobs for which they are purchased. Employ a navigation system that is intuitive and provides visual impact. Consider secondary packaging (outer cases, club multi-packs and display units) working as part of the consumer interface and applying to the navigation and purchase decisions. Maintain compliance for all mandatories on pack. Make preparations for and execute new product packaging consistent with internal cross-functional and launch timelines to enable achievement of innovation goals including product visual support materials for field sales as required.

Branding Guidelines

Manage and ensure general compliance with branding guidelines including logos, colors, registration marks, fonts and key visuals in primary marketing activation efforts. Work closely with marketing team on key projects in this regard with repetition leading to adherence and self-sufficiency.

Digital Asset Creation

Support e-commerce needs with banners and other asset creation. Support interdepartmental needs for events and initiatives. Achieve fluency in quick execution on new ideas and refinements of existing ideas.

General Skills and Competencies

Education and/or Experience:

This position requires a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in a design, communications or business-related field. Three plus years’ experience in graphic design, creative principles and/or brand building are required. Application of branding elements in multi-channel marketing activations with demonstrated ability with the demonstrated ability to establish and apply consistent use of the Idahoan brand.

Language Skills:

English

Computer Skills:

Microsoft Office. Advanced levels skills using Photoshop, Illustrator, WordPress, and Adobe Creative Suite/Adobe Creative Cloud. Intermediate level skill set working with HTML and CSS.

Physical Demands:

The position is located in a corporate business office environment with moderate noise levels and requires sitting at a desk for extended periods and walking from point to point.
