Description

The Head of Technical Production will be responsible for optimizing an end-to-end content creation process, specifically to support a 10X language expansion to provide global experiences for many Apple products. This role will work alongside Design, Modeling, and Production Operations/Logistics department leads, focusing on the technical processes and tools involved in performance/data capture and post-processing. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in audio/video/graphics/motion content production and experience leading teams to develop optimized pipelines across multiple fields for scalability. Knowledge of machine learning and its application in content production processes is preferred. Your responsibilities will include: - Grow and lead a high-performing production team of technical-minded creatives, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement. - Own and oversee all technical processes related to content production for AI-powered products, ensuring quality, efficiency, and scalability. - Lead the massive collection of high-quality data for multilingual and multimodal large language models (LLMs). - Incorporate machine learning techniques to develop an optimized content production pipeline. - Continuously improve and streamline production processes to support rapid expansion into new products and languages. - Work closely with partner teams in design, modeling, and production operations/logistics, as well as cross-functional teams in research and engineering, to ensure seamless integration and execution of production processes, resulting in customer-facing products. - Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies to drive innovation within the production pipeline and help define the future of AI-powered content creation. - Advise and advocate for the tools, facilities, budgets, and personnel needed to run an efficient, end-to-end, in-house AI-powered production studio. - Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with company goals. Minimum Qualifications

BS/MS/MA/PhD degree in Computer Science/Engineering/Media Production or a related field.

Proven experience of 5+ years in a production leadership role, preferably within the media technology industry.

Demonstrated experience in optimizing production pipelines for scalability, efficiency, and/or machine learning-driven projects.

Managing large-scale data collection projects and processes, including high-quality audio/video data for use in machine learning applications / large language models (LLMs).

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capability to interpret complex data and translate it into actionable insights.

Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across disciplines, locations, and time zones.

A passion for innovation and a drive to stay ahead of industry trends.

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $190,200 and $285,900, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs.
