They’re looking for somebody who can really come up with fresh angles and ideas that will leverage the brand’s digital assets to expand its audience in a big way.

Qualifications, skills, and all relevant experience needed for this role can be found in the full description below.Your role is to make a close study of the analytics, be strategic and creative in shaping and reshaping content, and basically do everything possible to widen the funnel that leads people who are curious about their world back to this outfit’s main publications. Growth, engagement, traffic: these are the things for which ye shall thirst eternally, howsoever sated you might by all appearances become.When the editorial teams proposes an awsome idea on Middle Eastern policy, you’ll be all, “Yeah, that’s great, but to pull in more people, the headline should include the word ‘Syria.’” When the teams create a super in-depth piece of reporting, you’ll be all, “Awesome analysis. Let’s give this a really inviting angle on Facebook.” When the teams are working on Chinese development efforts in Africa, you’ll be all, “That’s cool, yo, and I’m gonna draft an accompanying social-specific piece on the Rohingya.”In case we haven’t made this clear, you’ll manage the Facebook and Twitter accounts, while launching on other social platforms, and you’ll be constantly using analytics platforms like Omniture, Chartbeat and Facebook and Twitter analytics to expand the team’s understanding of the organization’s audience.You’ve already done this sort of work, specifically for a publishing outlet where content is the very name of the game. Every bit of it is within your wheelhouse: audience development, social media management, SEO optimization, and analytics. Over time, you’ve developed a deeply felt sense for the difference between what works in print, what works on a web platform and what’s most effective in social.
