Position Overview

The Autodesk Graphics Platform (AGP) Team is looking for a Software Engineer Intern, to dive into a Graphics Platform used by different Autodesk products, including Fusion, Revit, Inventor, 3ds Max, and Maya. Our works explore and extend open-source software like Aurora renderer, OpenUSD, MaterialX, glTF, OpenPBR, Autodesk Standard Surface, and Vulkan.

Responsibilities

Design and write robust, readable, maintainable, and extensible codeProduce both unit tests and developer documentation for new codeDebug existing subsystems and identify problem areas in the code while providing impacting solutionsProfile and optimize existing code on a variety of platforms, and create performance and unit tests to catch any regressions

Minimum Qualifications

Must be currently enrolled in a full-time, degree seeking program with a focus in computer science or computer graphics with an expected graduation in 2025Prior Experience with computer graphics application developmentStrong CS Fundamentals (C++, Python)Experience developing on Windows/Mac/Linux using Visual Studio

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with graphics APIs (such as DirectX, OpenGL), and shading languages (such as HLSL, GLSL)Knowledge of Git source control systemFamiliarity with open-source software like OpenUSD, MaterialX, Vulkan, etc.Familiarity of build and deployment technologies such as jenkins and cmake

About The US Intern Program

The 2024 U.S. program runs for 12 weeks (May 20 – August 9 or June 17 – September 6). All internships are paid. As an intern, you will contribute to meaningful projects, be mentored by industry leaders, and participate in tech talks and other activities designed to support your personal and professional development. Salary Transparency

Salary is one part of Autodesk’s competitive compensation package. Offers are based on the candidate’s experience, educational level, and geographic location, and can exceed this range.

For U.S.-based roles, we expect a starting annualized intern base salary to be between:

$47,840 and $95,680 (undergraduate students)$72,800 and $118,500 (Masters/MBA students)$118,560 and $162,240 (PhD students)
