Purpose/Summary

GENERAL SUMMARY

The Director of Marketing and Brand Experience at the Community College of Denver (CCD) is a strategic leadership role responsible for directing a dynamic team in the development and execution of comprehensive marketing and branding strategies. Reporting directly to the Executive Director of Strategy and Communication, this position oversees a team of talented professionals managing the College's public website, digital advertising, traditional advertising, social media, branding initiatives, creative services, and extends its reach to provide strategic support for College events with a focus on brand coherence.

Duties and Responsibilities

PRIMARY DUTIES

Strategic PlanningCollaborate with the Executive Director of Strategy and Communication to develop and implement marketing and brand strategies aligned with CCD's overall objectives.Conduct market research to identify trends, opportunities, and competitor activities to inform marketing strategies.Integrate branding strategies into College events to ensure a consistent and impactful brand presence.Website Content Management

Provide leadership and guidance for maintaining the College's public website.Ensure website content reflects the institution's brand and provides a positive and holistic user experience.

Digital Advertising

Provide leadership and guidance of the development and execution of digital advertising campaigns to enhance the college's online presence and attract prospective students.Monitor and analyze campaign performance metrics to optimize strategies and achieve marketing goals.

Traditional Advertising

Manage traditional advertising channels, including print, radio, and television, to effectively reach target audiences.Collaborate with external agencies to create impactful traditional advertising campaigns.Social Media Management

Provide leadership and guidance of the College's social media efforts in developing and implementing a strategy to engage current students, alumni, and prospective students across various platforms.Oversee monitoring of social media channels for trends, conversations, and opportunities to enhance the College's online reputation.

Branding

Safeguard and enhance the College's brand identity, ensuring consistency across all communication channels.Collaborate with internal stakeholders to maintain brand integrity in various College initiatives.Collaborate with event organizers to provide strategic marketing and branding support for College organized events, ensuring they align with the institution's overall messaging and objectives.Creative Services

Direct the creative services team in developing compelling visual and written content that aligns with the College's brand.Oversee the creation of marketing materials, including brochures, videos, and other collateral.

Budget Management

Develop and manage the marketing budget, ensuring effective allocation of resources to maximize impact.Other Duties as Assigned.

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Education

Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, business, or related field (Master's degree preferred).Experience

Proven experience (7+ years) in marketing and branding, preferably in the higher education sector.Knowledge/Skills/Abilitie

Strong leadership and team management skills.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Proficient in digital marketing tools and analytics.Strategic thinker with the ability to align marketing efforts with organizational goals.

Retirement

CCD and most employment categories contribute to , which provides retirement and other benefits to employees of more than 500 government agencies and public entities in the state of Colorado. PERA is the 21st largest public pension plan in the United States. PERA is a substitute for Social Security; CCD employees do not contribute to Social Security. PERA eligible employees are required to contribute a fixed percentage of their salary to the pension. Student employees are not eligible to participate in PERA.
