Position Summary

The Director, Global Strategic Marketing, Pediatric Eye Solution role is critical to establish our customer insights, innovation portfolio, global strategy to drive long-term growth of JJV's pediatric eye business. This role is required to build a strategic road map for future and execute marketing plans to drive results with current portfolio today.

This role provides leadership in Marketing, Market Development, New Product Development & Introduction, Professional Education, Sales and Insights. Areas of responsibility include:

Shaping the innovation and commercial strategy for the pediatric solution in collaboration with cross functional & regional partners.Developing global insights to drive new product concepts, market segmentation, KOL engagement, claims, marketing strategy, etc.Managing the new product innovation pipeline meeting key milestones.Working closely with regional teams to execute marketing/launch plans based on in-depth understanding of the market dynamics and commercial needs.Building a pipeline of talent.We look for someone who can:

Key Responsibilities

Portfolio & Innovation Strategy (40%)

Global portfolio planning for the Pediatric Eye portfolio, including development of a 5-year strategic plan with inclusion of R&D innovation, experience innovation and strategic acquisitions and partnerships.Lead portfolio strategy, positioning, and lifecycle management.Lead clinical claims and evidence strategy.Build a pipeline and launch new product(s) aligned with portfolio goals and in step with the portfolio positioning and integrated communications strategy for ECP and Consumer, ensuring seamless collaboration with all stakeholders and a focus on marketplace readiness and organizational readiness adhering to the Launch Excellence process.Develop, adapt, and maintain processes and ways of working as needed for Regional and cross-functional alignment, clearing hurdles and encouraging an externally focused, innovative approach.Provide updates and guidance to leadership to shape the future of the Brand and business, representing the global marketing team.

Brand & Marketing Strategy (30%)

Lead ACUVUE® Abiliti™ brand messaging strategy, programming/integrated communications, and customer/consumer experience in strong partnership with cross-functional partners, representing both global and market-specific needs.Shape, articulate, and represent the role of the Brand within the portfolio of brands (positioning, differentiation, integrated messaging) across consumer and eye care professional audiences with an external view to winning in the global marketplace.Lead product messaging - sales aids, KOL speaker decks, launch plans.Designs and executes global branding, positioning, and pricing strategies that deliver value for the ACUVUE® Abiliti™ Brand.Drive a leading-edge customer and consumer experience and associated content, connected across all touchpoints along the myopia journey.Oversees and supports competitive responses/action plans through to assets delivery in a proactive and reactive orientation for this brand. Directs the activities of complex customer and competitor analyses in the areas of product preferences, potentials, sales coverage, market size, marketing practices and trends, and prepares forecasts and recommendations.

People Leadership and Internal/External Collaboration (30%)

Provide strategic leadership and vision working collaboratively with R&D, MLR, Regional partners and other functions.Facilitates effective stakeholder relationships and alignment to develop successful strategies and execution.Motivate and manage direct reports as well as cross-functional teams across a matrix organization through providing coaching, feedback and development opportunities.Leads talent development and contribute to leadership pipeline.

Other Duties

Partner with CE market research/customer insights and business performance tracking across a global market landscape to strengthen culture of data-based decision making.A minimum of a bachelor's degree is required in Business, Science, Engineering or related degree.A minimum of 10 years of relevant business experience is required.A minimum of 3-5 years of current/prior people management experience is required.Prior marketing leadership experience is required.Experience and successful track record of leading product innovation and successful commercialization is required.Strong strategic marketing fundamentals including positioning, claims, advertising judgment, customer insights as well as business acumen across financials, business operation, etc. is required.Proven track record of developing talent with positive leadership characteristics is preferred.Ability to influence cross-functionally and across regions without direct authority is required.Strength interacting with variety of customers - patients, HCPs/ECPs, retail partners, Key Opinion Leaders, Distributors, and investors / start-up organizations is preferred.Demonstrated ability to lead marketing agencies and inspire strong output is required.Ability to challenge status quo and lead change is required.Up to 25% business travel (domestic & international) will be required.
