Description

We are looking for an exceptional Marketing Operations Manager to join our Content and App Partner Engagement (CAPE): Marketing, Education, and Technology (MET) team. CAPE MET serves as the conduit between next-gen Amazon technologies (for apps, content, and entertainment) and third-party developers. We own the web, business intelligence, and marketing tooling infrastructure needed to inspire and educate developers at every step in their journey. This position represents an opportunity to reinvent the way our product teams reach third-party developers.

As a Marketing Operations Manager for CAPE MET, you are the single-threaded owner (STO) of our email and CRM automation tool. You will function as end-to-end tool owner, managing corresponding contracts, budget, compliance work streams, and a cross-functional group of product marketing and campaign management stakeholders. You will ensure that our email tool is secure, compliant, and configured to scale across our suite of global use cases. Additionally, you ensure our email campaign assets meet our high quality bar, are correctly briefed, versioned, and delivered on time and on budget. Finally, this position will work closely with product and engineering partners to ensure our email tool is properly integrated with other marketing tools and data systems (e.g. webinar and event software). In addition to marketing and creative industry knowledge, a successful candidate will bring exceptional project management skills and eye for operational excellence. You are a self-starter and excellent verbal and written communicator. You are confident working across all levels, and someone known for making things happen in an ambiguous, fast-paced environment.

Key job responsibilities

Responsibilities include:

Develop technical strategy and roadmap for our marketing communications tools

Lead email tool configuration and any consolidation/migration work

Configure and manage the new email automation platform and event tools, considering cross-functional team requirements

Manage and execute both ad-hoc and automated/evergreen email campaigns

Analyze campaign performance metrics and identify areas for optimization

Work with engineers on technical integrations that unblock data access and segmentation capabilities

Basic Qualifications

4+ years of professional non-internship marketing experience

Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements

Experience with Excel or Tableau (data manipulation, macros, charts and pivot tables)

Experience building and optimizing multiple, simultaneous marketing campaigns

Experience managing or working within cross-functional marketing and creative teams

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in multi-territory campaign management

Experience in digital marketing and content production timelines and process

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $70,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $151,700/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
