This is a fast-paced and exciting role that provides opportunities to work on a wide array of projects.This role reports to the Development Manager and works closely with Development, Architecture, Product, Customer Success, SassIO and Strategic Partners to deliver solutions that simplify the daily work life of the front line of education.ResponsibilitiesFrom planning and design to implementation, testing, and maintenance, you'll possess a deep understanding of the entire software development lifecycle.Translate requirements and solutions into clear, concise flowcharts, layouts, and documentation.Write well-designed, testable code that's a pleasure to use and maintain.Produce detailed specifications and assess operational feasibility, ensuring your solutions are practical and impactful.Combine software components into a seamless, fully functional system that meets project goals.Develop and implement robust software verification plans and quality assurance procedures to ensure flawless operation.Document and maintain software functionality comprehensively and clearly, empowering future endeavors.Effectively troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing systems, keeping them running smoothly.Deploy programs and actively seek and analyze user feedback to drive continuous improvement.Adhere to established project plans and industry standards, ensuring consistent quality and reliability.Continuously update software with the latest features and security patches to maintain its relevance and effectiveness.Qualifications :Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (e.g., Information Technology, Information Systems) highly preferred.Essential:5+ years of experience building and maintaining complex web applications using React.js.In-depth understanding of React.js architecture, principles, and best practices.Proven experience with React development workflows, including state management (Redux, Flux, etc.) and lifecycle methods.Strong proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, and preprocessors (Less, Sass).Experience integrating frontend with RESTful APIs and understanding API fundamentals.Experience with Modern JavaScript paradigms and best practices (ES6+, async/await, functional programming).Agile development experience using methodologies like Scrum.Desired:Proficiency in JavaScript frameworks like Bootstrap or Material Design.Knowledge of modern authorization standards like OAuth and JWT.Familiarity with core concepts of cloud computing and AWS services.Frontline Education is a pioneer of school administration software purpose-built for K-12 districts.
