Role Overview

Fractal is seeking a seasoned Senior Data Scientist who has experience solving data science problems in the Marketing domain, particularly in building Multi-Touch Attribution models using Deep Learning and creating uplift models for measuring the effectiveness of marketing initiatives, in the B2B setting. This role will require you to collaborate with multiple stakeholders, internal and external.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will be part of a client-facing team that develops data science solutions to solve complex business problems in the B2B Marketing space.Identify business gaps and develop KPIs for evaluating direct and indirect impacts of marketing campaigns.Own the full lifecycle of model development from ideation and data exploration, algorithm design and testing, algorithm development and deployment, to algorithm monitoring and tuning in production.Create high-quality, actionable Insights for both technical and business stakeholders.Bring innovative thinking and best practices to all operational activities.

Qualifications

Minimum 5 years of experience in the Data Science space, with a minimum of 2 years’ experience in the marketing space, particularly with Multi Touch Attribution problems in the B2B context.Minimum 2 years of experience managing complex data science projects, leading a team of data scientists and/or ML engineersDeep understanding of the marketing world ranging from KPIs to terminologies, as well as in solving data science problems in the marketing spaceStrong experience in developing and deploying Deep Learning models, particularly in sequence-based architectures reliant on LSTM and convolutions.Strong Experience in creating customized deep learning architectures, as well as adding in new functionalities to existing classes and methods in tensorflowStrong Experience with model explainability approaches, including but not limited to SHAP and/or Lime for Tree-based and Deep Learning modelsAdept at computational complexity & algorithmic thinking, and optimizing on time and space complexities to build programs of scaleMinimum 2 years of experience in using advanced statistical techniques for experiment design, as well as building uplift modelling solutionsExperience in building model training and scoring pipelines in Amazon Sagemaker, including the experience of integrating the pipelines with other AWS functionalities such as S3, Cloudwatch, Lambda, EventBridgeAdvanced- level SQL experience, particularly within Snowflake: Writing efficient and concise SQL queries with minimal reliance on Python or other languages, for EDA and data manipulation tasksStrong demonstrated experience on bringing in gated and ungated touchpoints, and creating cohesive customer journeys from them for the Multi Touch Attribution problemsStrong understanding of the various stages of sales lifecycle and how they are tracked in CRM software such as Salesforce sales cloudAttention to detail is a mustAbility to handle multiple assignments simultaneously and meet deadlines for all of themTeam player, but also able to work independently with minimal to zero supervisionExcellent verbal and written communication skills, with strong Excel and Presentation skillsExperience in Natural Language Processing would be good to haveExperience with PySpark/Spark SQL is good to have

Pay

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Fractal, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is: $

82,000 - $182,000 USD . In addition, for the current performance period, you may be eligible for a discretionary bonus.

As a full-time employee of the company or as an hourly employee working more than 30 hours per week, you will be eligible to participate in the health, dental, vision, life insurance, and disability plans in accordance with the plan documents, which may be amended from time to time. You will be eligible for benefits on the first day of employment with the Company. In addition, you are eligible to participate in the Company 401(k) Plan after 30 days of employment, in accordance with the applicable plan terms. The Company provides for 11 paid holidays and 12 weeks of Parental Leave. We also follow a “free time” PTO policy, allowing you the flexibility to take the time needed for either sick time or vacation.
