About the team:The Multimedia Arch Frontend team is responsible for improving user experience and performance on TikTok, including data visualizations, web media player optimization with machine learning strategies, etc. As a Frontend Software Engineer on our team, you will:
Work closely with our talented backend, product, and data team to develop and ship new, innovative user experience and performance data visualizations and optimization on Tiktok.Build world-class frontends, with data visualizations for big data, deep web tech stack, combine elegance, performance, reusability, and maintainability.Optimize TikTok web app related performance by learning and leveraging word-class video codec, transcode, and machine learning strategies.Promote robust and maintainable code, clear documentation, and deliver high-quality work in a rapid environment.Responsible for the front-end research and development of Multimedia Arch.Help our team grow from your expertise, experience, and perspectives.
QualificationsMinimum Qualifications:
BA/BS Degree in Computer Science or related major.3+ years of industry experience in a software development environment.Proficiency in Javascript/Typescript, ES5/6, CSS, and various layouts.Experience in solving CSS/JS multi-browser compatibility problems and front-end performance optimization.Understanding of component-based development ideas, familiarity with React, Angular, Vue.js, or any other equivalent library/framework.Good team communication and collaboration skills.Excellent problem-solving and analytical thinking skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience on cross-platform development frameworks such as Flutter/React is a plus.Understanding of back-end technologies and databases is a plus.Experienced with data virtualization is a plus.Understanding video codec, video quality optimization or web media player related is a plus.
