A high volume of applicants is expected for the role as detailed below, do not wait to send your CV.About the Aladdin UX Design TeamThe Aladdin UX Design team researches and designs the user experience for the Aladdin investment and risk analytics platform which is used by institutional wealth managers and investment professionals worldwide.We practice a human-centered design approach—designing software grounded in user need—to enable our users to tap into the power of BlackRock’s Aladdin enterprise platform. We are a team of skilled UX Designers, UI Designers, and UX Researchers, working to reinvent and improve the Aladdin platform through the user’s lens.We are looking for a User Interface Visual Designer who understands and is inspired by the complexities of designing software for the enterprise.About YouYou understand Product and UX requirements to create compelling UI interactions and visual designs. You are a problem solver; you understand user behavior and interactions, and you craft beautiful interfaces that are highly functional. You are a meticulous creative, and you understand that designing for digital products, applications, and tools, is different than designing for marketing. You are dedicated to systematic design and scalability!You are a hands-on designer, and you are adept in creating multi-product design interactions and designs. You enjoy the challenge of crafting creative, simple, sophisticated visual designs for complex ideas.You will be working with teams of UX Designers, Product Managers, and Engineers to create design solutions that are intuitive, accessible, and delightful.As a UI Visual Designer, You Will:Take ownership of design for a subset of Aladdin’s tools used by internal and external users.Help develop and implement user experiences that align with business objectives, ensuring a seamless user experience.Design detailed workflows, and prototypes.Be a key contributor to the definition of a design language across our products.Own the quality of visual design execution for your design directions as well as extending existing design styles.Ensure design is consistent with our UX/UI guidelines and approved interaction patternsCollaborate with key project team members, including UX Designers, Researchers, Product Managers, and Engineering leads to deliver end-to-end solutions.Create specs and documentation for your designs, working within our design system.Be a positive, friendly representative and evangelist for user-centered design.RequirementsExperience & Education5+ years application design experience in either product or agency environments.BFA degree in Visual Communication, Interaction Design, or similar field.Work SamplesA portfolio that demonstrates effective solutions for workflow tools through compelling interface designs.Expert-level Skills in:Designing User Interface artifacts such as concepts, detailed designs, and prototypesSpec creations and developer hand-offAbility to collaborate with development teams to ensure design implementation meets high quality standards.Good interpersonal skills: ability to rationalize your designs, in the context of the userTools: Figma and Adobe Creative Cloud appsStrong Skills in:Working with cross functional teams that are early in their UX evolution to establish and implement UX/UI processes that ensure quality of design at scale.Using design system components to deliver high-quality designs; and additionally, craft or propose new components.Design Experience with the Following Is a Plus, but Not Required:B2B offeringsEnterprise software / SaaSExperience designing for Finance or Enterprise Tech.Experience creating / contributing to design systemsExperience designing interfaces for AI solutions.Portfolio sharing is required.
