The Role

Our client is seeking a highly skilled and creative Director of Marketing to join our team. The Director of Marketing will be responsible for overseeing and implementing the marketing strategies for assigned initiatives of the company. This role requires a creative and strategic thinker with an entrepreneurial spirit and strong verbal and written communication skills. You will be a team leader responsible for clearly communicating and helping to lead the company's vision for Florida and, specifically, communicating the value to investors and potential investors through our various communication channels and events. This position will work closely with the Vice President of Marketing & Communications and various internal stakeholders to develop and implement impactful marketing strategies that enhance the company's brand and visibility statewide.

ResponsibilitiesDevelop and implement comprehensive marketing plans and strategies to promote the company brand and its initiatives.Collaborate with the Vice President of Marketing, executive team, and other internal teams to develop marketing strategies aligned with achieving company goals and objectives. This involves ongoing communication with key internal and external stakeholders, market research, analyzing consumer trends, and identifying target audiences.Manage and assist in the creation of marketing campaigns across various channels, including print, social media, website, email marketing, etc. The director of marketing will help lead the strategic planning and budgeting for assigned campaigns.Monitoring and analyzing marketing metrics and campaign effectiveness to identify areas for improvement and optimize marketing strategies.Design and produce visually appealing marketing collateral, including brochures, flyers, banners, and promotional materials for initiative promotion and events.Write and edit compelling copy for marketing materials, website content, press releases, e-blasts, and other communications.Monitor and analyze marketing metrics, such as website traffic, social media engagement, and email open rates, to measure campaign effectiveness and make data-driven decisions.Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in marketing, graphic design, social media, SEO, website, and copywriting/editing.Manage relationships with external vendors, such as graphic designers, printers, and marketing agencies, where applicable.Lead and mentor a team of marketing professionals, providing guidance and support to help achieve company goals.Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, journalism, or a related field.Proven experience in marketing required. Extensive knowledge of traditional and digital marketing landscapes, with a minimum of 5-10 years performing generalist duties such as copywriting, editing, graphic design, social media management, general website management, etc.Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and other design tools such as Canva.A minimum of 2 years of management experience leading a team of marketing professionals.Strong written, editing, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling messages and effectively engage with diverse audiences. A keen eye for detail and grammar is a must.Strong research skills and the ability to gather and synthesize information from various sources.Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.An entrepreneurial spirit with demonstrated expertise in developing and implementing successful marketing strategies and campaigns that drive results.A strategic mindset with the ability to think creatively and identify opportunities to enhance the Chamber's brand and reputation.Strong organizational and project management abilities, with the capability to multitask and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.Proficiency in using marketing analytics tools to measure and track campaign performance, ex. Google Analytics-4.Ability to work independently and in a team environment.A portfolio of design and written samples demonstrating expertise.
