GRAPHIC DESIGNER
Ave Maria University seeks a Graphic Designer within our Marketing Department in Ave Maria, Florida, responsible for creating and designing various communication materials for print marketing, including magazines, brochures, viewbooks, presentations, direct-mail pieces, and advertisements. Additional responsibilities of this position include: (i) creating and designing digital marketing pieces for website landing pages, email marketing, social media posts, YouTube thumbnails, and more; (ii) performing retouching and manipulation of images; (iii) ensuring that projects are completed with exceptional quality and on schedule and that brand guidelines are adhered to during the marketing process; and (iv) managing multiple projects within design specifications and time constraints, including managing a team of student worker designers, contractors, and agencies.
Must possess a bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design or Visual Communications Design from an NASAD-accredited school plus two (2) years of experience in a related position.
Two (2) years of experience must include two (2) years of experience with: (i) Adobe design software (i.e., InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, and Lightroom and After Effects); (ii) retouching and manipulating images; (iii) delivering images and graphics at the right specifications to be used on website projects; (iv) overseeing website UI; and (v) designing and creating original icons, logos, graphics, and illustrations.
Must have 1 year of experience managing a team.
Must have a strong design portfolio that reflects this experience.
