Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for an Creative Director. The Creative Director will be responsible for leading creative direction, branding, art direction, graphics, and graphic design.

A fashion creative director's main role is to establish what designs should be created, what will appeal to the target market, and how the concepts will be applied and distributed in collaboration with fashion designers who are responsible for creating the clothing and fabrics.

The Creative Director will work closely with the creative team to develop campaigns and projects for GRC's brand and products. This role will require a high level of organization and attention to detail and deadlines. You will be in charge of managing a team to make sure these needs are met. You will also help with some design of GRC product lines throughout the year.

A fashion creative director is the highest creative position at a fashion company, responsible for overseeing the creative process and guiding the brand's vision. They work with designers, photographers, stylists, and other creative professionals to create campaigns, collections, and visual experiences that resonate with the target audience and align with the brand's strategy

Qualifications

Creative Direction and Art Direction skills

Strong ability in Branding

Proficiency in Graphic Design and Graphics (Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop)

Experience in leading a design team

Strong attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines

Familiarity with current design software and tools

Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts, Graphic Design or related field

Experience working in the fashion or music industry is a plus

Creating Spread Sheets

Managing Inventory Management systems and Asana

Day to day task

- Manages the direction and designs for our bigger releases we do every year. They will present ideas with moodboards and concepts for us to discuss, We will also have to provide moodboards as well for things we are seeing and think will do well.

- Makes sure designs and procurement are on schedule

- Makes sure all templates and designs are good to go into sample, production, etc.

- Manages all products with factories to make sure artwork is 100% ready to go at all times

- Handles all small/minor design changes needed.

- This person would create the style guide and mood boards for us to approve

Design:

- Create concepts for inline and private label possible releases.

- Create and Edit technical packages for products entering the sample and production processes.

- Develop concept design mockups for inline Grassroots collections

- Develop concept design mockups for licensing/collaborative products and collections

- Develop concept design mockups for private label products and collections

- Maintain annual release schedule in Google Sheets with updated schedule and product information

- Design print/online marketing material as needed.

- Manage inline design projects of in-house and freelance designers.

Sourcing:

- Create and Edit technical packages for development products.

- Research possible manufacturer connections through various online resources and in person sourcing trade shows.

- Maintain an internal catalog of all reliable manufacturers for current and future production.

- Communicate with numerous suppliers daily to keep current and future product developments in motion.

- Consolidate information for review by internal staff for possible production opportunities.

- Maintain all factory information in Apparel Magic.

- Update and spec product sizing charts.

- Maintain and organize physical samples.

Production:

- Enter all product information into internal systems.

- Asana, Apparel Magic, Google Sheets

- Product Name, Style Number, Sizing Matrix, Sku Details, Unit Cost, MSRP, Wholesale Cost

- Create Sample Orders for each product/collection.

- Create Production Orders for each product/collection.

- Update deadlines and production schedules in Asana and Google Sheets

- Make payments on some production items through Alibaba.

- Communicate with factory and internal teams on all production revisions and approvals.

- Gather Quotations for all products from factories.

- Coordinate trim orders from factory to factory as needed.

- Communicate any production errors and negotiate for a solution.

- Order hang tags from third party suppliers to each factory. Maintaining stock at all factories to cover orders.

- Order Sku stickers from third party suppliers to be placed on products with all correct information.

Project Management: (General)

- Communicate with clients on design briefs, project updates, and order information.

- Create deposit invoices.

- Create production Invoices.

- Maintain client project management Asana tasks with updates on all projects for other project managers.

- Communicate with other project managers bi-weekly to gather project updates.

- Assign all projects to in-house or freelance designers.

- Communicate updates and revisions to designers.

- Gather production quotations for all projects.

- Handle communication and orders for other project manager's clients to keep projects moving.

Product Photography:

- Althought we have a team for this, we want you to understand the following incase said person is out.

- Gather products for photographer.

- Upload all completed product photos to dropbox and link in Asana.

- Check all images for errors and update as needed.

- Photograph and Edit product images as needed.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
