Job Summary
FreeWheel is seeking a customer-centric Director of Product Marketing to lead and grow a high-performing team within the newly-formed product marketing function. This is an exciting opportunity to bring both industry and functional expertise to influence the entire product lifecycle. The Director of Product Marketing for Beeswax will focus on FreeWheel’s solution for powering automated buying for programmatic media buyers and their platform partners. In this position, you will be responsible for overseeing a small team of product marketers who specialize in deep understanding of the advertising industry technology, personas, and ecosystem to devise and lead the Beeswax’s go-to-market and launch strategy. You will work cross-functionally, unifying and motivating peers from different teams (e.g., product, revenue, services). You must have an expert understanding of advertising buying audiences and their needs and act as a subject matter expert (SME) who synthesizes market, consumer, product, and competitive inputs into driving outcomes throughout the organization. 10+ years of experience in product marketing or related roles and ad-tech experience, preferably on the sell-sideAbility to conduct market and customer research to gather insights and assess market opportunitiesCritical thinker with strong writing, communication, presentation development, and delivery skillsStrong storytelling skills, with excellent written and verbal communicationAbility to link product launches to organizational campaign themes and goalsManagement experience including the ability to build and grow a teamAd tech expertise, focused on programmatic transactions (preferably on the buy-side)Can live and breathe the journey of the advertising industry as it transforms
Responsibilities:
Establish and execute the go-to-market strategy and launch plans for Beeswax and achieve alignment across the organizationDevelop deep understanding of the buying audience for the organization by directing product marketing managers to conduct research and gather insights about target personas, buyer needs, and the purchasing decision process for Beeswax’s productsDrive an audience-centric marketing approach, ensuring that messaging, content, and campaign strategies are centered around buyer and customer needsOversee and provide direction for market segmentation and targeting in order to define the market opportunities for the product portfolio and partner with product management leaders to build business cases for expanding market presence or entering new marketsOversee and provide direction for the creation and socialization of the following product-level documents: market requirements, positioning map, go-to-market plan, etc.Monitor and report on the performance of Beeswax’s portfolio through the lens of the client segmentsProvide leadership, direction, and mentoring to guide the Beeswax product marketers in its day-to-day activitiesConduct routine assessments of the FreeWheel’s go-to-market and launch processes and address gapsManage the hiring, development, and retention of product marketing talent

Salary:
Primary Location Pay Range: $160,235.21 - $240,352.81
Comcast intends to offer the selected candidate base pay within this range, dependent on job-related, non-discriminatory factors such as experience.
Base pay is one part of the Total Rewards that Comcast provides to compensate and recognize employees for their work. Most sales positions are eligible for a Commission under the terms of an applicable plan, while most non-sales positions are eligible for a Bonus.
