Reporting to the Chief Business Officer, the VP of Ad Sales, Entertainment will build and execute on a robust digital ad sales strategy to monetize Likewise's growing email newsletter business and discovery platform. You will partner with leading entertainment marketers to effectively scale a key new revenue product for Likewise, building on our highly-engaged audience in the entertainment space.

Responsibilities :

Deliver immediate revenue against target planCreate and build relationships at key entertainment marketers, leading marketers from other relevant categories, and associated media agenciesEnsure Likewise's email newsletters and discovery platform are top-of-mind during key planning and buying cycleSuccessfully pitch and win new clients; grow existing revenue from current clientsCompellingly articulate the benefits and unique features of a scaled email newsletter productCreate marketing and advertising industry awareness of LikewiseRefine and improve highly polished pitch collateralPartner with editorial team around calendar, sponsorable featuresRepresent Likewise at advertising industry events

Note: This position is advertised in both LA and NY as we anticipate the largest pool of candidates in those locations. We are hiring just one person for the role. This is a remote position.

Requirements

10+ years in a leading ad sales organization, ideally in digital publishing or mediaNetwork of leading entertainment category marketers and agencies with whom you are currently or very recently pitching and winning dealsExpertise in selling email newsletter products specifically - either as a standalone or as part of a broader portfolio of sales productsAbility to manage short & long term revenue targetsDeep understanding of marketer and client needs and campaign objectivesAbility to work in unstructured, start-up cultureProven senior level experience in salesAbility to compellingly pitch deals, structure and negotiate, and close partnershipsSelf-starter, entrepreneurial, scrappy, nose for deals & dollarsTravel to client meetings as needed

Benefits

In the spirit of pay transparency, we are pleased to share the base salary range for this position is $165K - $230K with significant commission potential over and above base. If you are hired at Likewise, your compensation will be determined based on factors that may include including geographic location, skills, education, and experience. In addition to these factors, we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider internal equity of our current team members as a part of any offer. Please bear in mind that the range listed is the full base salary range for the role, and hiring at the top of the range would not be typical, in order to allow for future salary growth. The range listed is just one component of Likewise's total compensation, which includes: PTO; paid holidays; medical, dental, vision, life, and AD&D insurance; employee assistance program; 401k; professional development; paid parental leave; and stock options. Certain revenue-generating positions may be eligible for commission and/or other incentive compensation.
