POSITION SUMMARY

The Graduate Design Intern will apply interior design, inventory management, and move coordination skills to furnish and decorate vacant office spaces and organize incoming and existing inventory. The graduate intern will also be heavily involved in delivering on the Turnkey design, furniture and moving offerings. This role will support the Marketing and Design/Tenant Services Teams at ESRT, a globally recognized innovator and leader in sustainable real estate

RESPONSIBILITIESStage vacant spaces as requested by the Leasing TeamCraft design proposals and order furniture/décorAdd décor to communal spaces as requested by Leasing and Property ManagementTrack and manage ESRT furniture and decor inventory using AssetTigerTag new pieces and add to systemAssess leftover tenant furniture and add to inventory if usableAssist in furnishing of Marketing CentersCoordinate furniture/décor moves within NYC and Greater New York Metro propertiesSelect Turnkey ancillary furniture finish/colorSelect accent wall locations and colors for refreshed vacant spacesCoordinate with Turnkey furniture vendors to schedule delivery/installation at each locationProcess vendor Turnkey furniture invoicesField Measure furniture sizes in suitesCreate Turnkey furniture inventory list after furniture completionStreamline and standardize staging workflows to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.Additional responsibilities as directed.REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES

Strong organizational skills and operationally minded.Interior design. Inventory management. Move coordination.Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Organized with attention to detail.Ability to work independently on an assignment. Ability to work collaboratively as a member of a team. Ability to hand décor and assemble furniture a plus.EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s degree required; major or significant coursework in Interior Design, Art, Graphic Design, or related disciplines highly preferred.At least one year of related work experience highly preferred.WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT
