Technical Designer - Children's Apparel

The Golden Touch Group is a family-owned and operated wholesale apparel manufacturer with a mission to deliver trend-focused products for nearly 50 years. We produce private label brands for large mass-market retailers across the globe specializing in children's, junior, missy, and women's apparel.

Responsibilities:

• Develop the initial garment spec for costing and making children's apparel samples.

• Conduct fitting through to the production sample approval stage.

• Knowledge of pattern correction, grading & garment construction.

• Establish specifications and construction requirements for each garment type

• Make fit comments.

• Review and revise spec sheets to confirm their accuracy

• Strong working relationships with cross functional team members through communication and problem solving

• Communicate fit revisions and comments to vendors in a technical package format.

• Develop and maintain on-time execution of vendor-ready tech packs, including construction sketches, fabrics and trims, construction details, bills of materials, measurement charts and graded specifications.

Requirements

Must be detail oriented and have strong communication skills4 -5 years of Technical Design experience (childrenswear or junior's)Excellent sense of style and colorExcellent organizational, time management, communication and presentation skills.Ability to multi-task and prioritize different types of work independentlyResourceful problem solverStrong follow up skillsExpert knowledge of Photoshop and Illustrator SkillsWorking knowledge of PLM

Salary Range: $ **As a private company, Golden Touch may pay more or less than the published upper limit of the pay range based on an individual's demonstrated experience and expertise in their field. The pay ranges serve as a target and allow us to consider relevant experience, time in the role, salaries of internal peers, business sector, prior performance, and geographic location.
