Responsible for developing strategy and plans for internal communication activities for Children's Wisconsin. Leads integration of communication plans for multiple audience groups, ensuring that the system is "speaking with one voice" and reinforcing the Children's values and strategic priorities. Candidate must be a strong writer who can translate communication strategy into effective messages and tactical plans to support system strategy, current issues, organizational change, crisis planning and response, and internal campaigns. Responsible for driving effective leadership communication and competency building. Manages and develops internal communication channels, including employee intranet, with a focus on leader, employee, provider and volunteer audiences. Provides communication counsel to leaders and key partners, including Human Resources, Organization Development and hospital leadership. Leads integration of internal communication goals with those of brand marketing, digital marketing and external communication partners as well as system partners. Manages and develops the corporate communication team.

Bachelor's degree in communication, public relations or related field.At least 10 years of strategic corporate communication planning and execution experience.At least 3 years managing staff.Leadership experience at a management or program level required, as well as demonstrated skills in leading through influence.Strategic thinker with an enterprise view who is able to translate long-term plans, goals and complex concepts for multiple audiences and operationalize them through communications.Experience setting strategy, developing plans and metrics and executing against them.Exceptional written, verbal and visual communication skills.Crisis communication experience.Experience coaching executives and other leaders related to public speaking.Ability to prioritize resources, adapt and maintain positivity in a rapidly changing environment.Interpersonal skills necessary to build and maintain robust and effective relationships with individuals and groups from senior executives to front-line stakeholders, including proven effectiveness in a collaborative environment.Experience using Microsoft Office products including Excel, Word and PowerPoint. Knowledge of web content management systems and social media tools. Experience with project management, database and other related software a plus.WORKING CONDITIONS:

Normal office environment where there is no reasonable potential for exposure to blood or other high-risk body fluids.May involve local and statewide travel to accomplish assignments.May involve night and weekend hours as necessitated by special events, crises and program needs.
