Job Title: Visual Communications Specialist

Summary:

The Visual Communications Specialist is responsible for providing instructional communication for in-store brand execution with marketing and visual merchandising documents. These documents are used as an instruction manual by store associates to consistently set and maintain each new floor set.

Responsibilities:

Clearly communicate each theme’s story and merchandising strategy to store associates in written and graphic form. This includes communication for marketing, visual details, and brand strategies.

Use InDesign templates to create instructional pages that are organized and communicate the overall objective to the associate.

Learn and apply our 3D Virtual Store program to gather information and visual details for instructional communication.

Simplify difficult content so that stores can understand and implement effectively to meet the labor hours assigned to them.

Multi-task large volumes of work in a demanding and fast paced environment, without losing the detail needed for stores to implement changes flawlessly.

Communicate reactionary updates in a timely fashion, supporting the brand in staying fast and nimble.

Keep a growth mindset by being innovative and finding new ways to keep communication to stores fresh and effective by enhancing current processes and tools.

Work with peers and cross-functional partners to uphold and create consistencies in all communication tools.

Work independently on projects and objectives, while supporting others, in a team environment.

Build constructive and effective relationships throughout the brand.

Collaborate with team members and cross-functional partners to get the information needed to complete tasks and meet quick deadlines.

Participate in walk-throughs of each floor set with cross functional partners.

Observe floor sets at local stores, bringing feedback to the business through store visit recaps and meeting participation.

Qualifications

1-2 years of related experience, preferably in a corporate environment

Experienced in Photoshop and InDesign and be able apply relevant skills immediately.

Demonstrates strong presentation, written and verbal communication skills

Strong organizational and prioritization skills

Creative approach to problem solving, awareness of trends, team oriented and proactive attitude

Entrepreneurial spirit and ability to handle significant responsibility

Retail experience is a plus

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing Communications or Graphic Design preferred
