At Autodesk Tandem, we're on a mission to make the world better by empowering building operators with their data.Autodesk is hiring a Principal User Experience Designer with SaaS and data visualization experience who enjoys working collaboratively with all members of a product team. Your role will involve conceptual UX, prototyping, visual design, and user research. You will report to the Director of Tandem Insight in this remote position.This role is located in the US and can be remote.Responsibilities

Define, design, and build great experiences for exploring and understanding building data within the spatial context of 3D models, from initial concept through successful implementationParticipate in customer engagements to validate assumptions and concepts, gather input on proposed workflows, and refine the product designCollaborate with engineering teams and product managers to create visual and interaction designs that deliver customer value, while navigating technical constraints and balancing quality vs. speed of deliveryProduce design artifacts to drive alignment across teams, including product development, customer programs, sales, and marketingGather and utilize customer usage, adoption metrics, and other analytics data to inform design decisionsMinimum Qualifications

7+ years of professional UX/UI design experience working with cross-functional agile teamsExcellent interaction, information architecture, and visual design skills. You prefer visualizing solutions with wireframes, visual designs, journey maps, and prototypesStrong presentation and communication skills. You can tailor your communication style and content to present your work to a variety of audiences, from customers, to teammates, and executivesDesire to work autonomously, own projects from end to end, and collaborate with globally distributed agile teams in a fast-moving environmentExperience with modern human-centered design best practices and customer interaction methods, and experienced in facilitation and design thinkingPrior experience with Figma, Framer, Sketch, or similarSystems thinker that can make connections between different product experiencesOnline design portfolio that demonstrates how you solve complex design challengesBA/BS or graduate degree in HCI, New Media Design, Computer Science, or related fieldPreferred Qualifications

Experience with 3D products like game design or architectural software, especially designing for 'spatial UX' in 3D environmentsExperience designing for data-rich or complex products and interactions such as CRM, dashboards, or healthcareExperience defining and building design systemsExperience with building performance or IoT systems
