Since 1993 Parsons has provided PM/CM services on more than $4 billion of infrastructure to meet the demands of system reliability and drought in southern Nevada.

We are adding a Design Manager to oversee the full technical scope of water projects in southern Nevada. We are a proven resource and are respected by our clients as an organization with strong technical skills, solid project delivery and excellent performance.

If you are a seasoned technical design manager or Sr. Project Manager with major capital projects under your belt, and are passionate about top quality design, we would like to talk with you! We are looking for a great leader to join our team; one that inspires loyalty and commitment, with experience in the project execution process to lead technical teams in the southern Nevada.

You will support a water agency in southern Nevada serving more than 2.2 million residents as the wholesale water provider. Responsible for water treatment and delivery, as well as acquiring and managing long-term water resources throughout southern Nevada. The capital projects encompass new infrastructure, new water resources including conservation initiatives, and major improvements and upgrades to the existing water system..

In this technically focused role, you will oversee the full technical scope of the entire project, developing a detailed design schedule, and ensure the project has a successful start-up. You will be expected to support the design process through the project, overseeing and directing technical resources, monitoring the technical aspects of the project, coordinate with contractors and owners and perform design management functions through construction. Additional responsibilities include hiring/staffing and scheduling the design work to meet construction milestones, and regular interaction with the team to ensure engineering optimization of the design and prioritization of the design work.

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering with PE License.

10 years or more experience including design/management experience of a large team, as well as project management delivery experience on water infrastructure projects (pumping stations, pipelines, tunnels, reservoirs).

Proven experience successfully managing design teams of people.

Incumbent should have a broad general technical and business background, as well as previous project management experience on similar or related projects.

Strong written and oral communication skills

Must be willing to relocate to Nevada for this position. We will provide relocation assistance.

Salary Range:

$117,000.00 - $227,900.00
