What you will do

Scope of Position:

The Marketing Manager, Services & Solutions will develop and implement marketing strategies and activities to build brand awareness and drive profitable growth in line with organizational measures and objectives. This position will report directly to the VP Services & Solutions, VFS NA and will report into the VFS NA (Volvo Financial Services North America) regional headquarters office located in Greensboro, North Carolina.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate with channel sales, finance, and other functions of the business to identify market opportunities and subsequently launch programs/products/campaigns that capitalize on identified products and targeted customer segments.

• Identify, set and manage commercial marketing KPI’s.

• Manage and maintain all web and digital marketing initiatives, including but not limited to external websites, portals, social media, finance dealer portal, and program announcements.

• Maintain marketing database segmentation to ensure any communications delivered are relevant to the audience receiving them.

• Analyze website metrics with a focus on lead generation, continuous improvement, customer acquisition and retention.

• Effectively collaborate with OEM marketing and product management colleagues on electromobility and services & solutions initiatives (includes, Volvo Trucks, Mack Trucks, Volvo Construction Equipment, Prevost and Volvo Bus, Volvo Penta, and Rokbak Construction Equipment, Volvo Energy) to implement shared communication, marketing and sales strategies, collateral, events, and initiatives to include dealer and customer incentive and loyalty programs.

• Support global strategies to drive traffic to VFS related channels using a range of market visibility techniques.

• Own and drive all channel CX related initiatives and opportunities. Coordinate with larger VFS CX colleagues including region and global to leverage best practices and common approaches

• Track conversion rates and make improvements to channels, contents, and approach.

• Initiate and utilize market research, competitive analysis, and qualified metrics to develop effective strategies, communication plans & materials.

• Assess and analyse the present customer satisfaction position by collecting and compiling data from different measurement surveys and tools.

• Work cross-functionally across the organization to define appropriate and concrete customer satisfaction KPIs throughout the customer journey.

• Plan, coordinate and manage tradeshows, OEM Events, and other key meetings in alignment of the overall Volvo Group and VFS Strategy. Including event details such as budget, travel logistics, staffing levels, food/beverage, entertainment, registration, agendas, promotion and display, incentives, giveaways, KPIs, lead generation and production needs.

Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in marketing or equivalent combination of education and experience.

• 5-7 years B2B marketing experience, preferably in financial services, automotive, commercial equipment, agriculture, or other manufacturer/distributor business models

• Experience across multiple marketing disciplines including product development and launch management, advertising, event planning and tradeshow management.

• Hands-on experience with marketing automation and workflows, CRM administration, digital marketing, and social media platforms.

• Direct experience working with ad agencies, promotional merchandise suppliers and similar required.

Critical Competencies:

• Must have ability to prioritize and work effectively on multiple tasks in a fast-paced, demanding environment where a flexible and adaptable approach is valued.

• Understanding of analytics tools, funnel tracking, and performance metrics.

• Proven experience including problem solving, research and analysis.

• Competency in key platforms such as Salesforce, Hootsuite, and Medallia (or other customer experience management platforms and software)

• Work experience measuring quality, efficiency, and process improvement desired.

• Proven leadership experience.

• Superior written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.

• Strong familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and Adobe Creative Suite (In Design, Photoshop, Acrobat).

• Experience working in a professional environment where sound business judgment, attention to detail, organized and a flexible and adaptable approach are valued.

• Seizes opportunities and has a proactive approach. Ability to coordinate and organize multiple transactions and deadlines. Proactive / Self-starter.

• Strong understanding of sales, business development and operational aspects of the financial services industry and dealership environment highly preferred.

• Learns quickly when facing new problems and is a versatile learner open to change and quickly grasps the essence of ideas. Self-directed with the ability to adjust in a dynamic environment.

• A team player who easily gains trust and support of peers and encourages collaboration.

• Has the ability to work cross-functionally and within a team. Works well with employees at all levels of the company and can function and build relationships in a matrixed environment.

• Demonstrated experience in vendor and budget management.
