Medidata is looking for a Senior Product Designer to create first-class user experiences for clinical and commercial-grade applications for Life Science & Biotech industries. The Senior Product Designer will interact with designers, engineering, operations and product management to conduct discovery, design detailed workflows and experiences, deliver visual mockups and prototypes, and assist in user validation. This position requires a designer that has experience designing user interactions consistent with brand and visual guidelines, and within a shared design system.
Your Profile
The ideal candidate must have experience leading design within a specific product or product area. This includes seeing projects from discovery through hand-off and production. You will be responsible for:Adopting a user-centered approach to designStaying current on best practices, trends and patterns for consumer and enterprise applicationsAssisting in validating product ideas on actual users and customers by participating in discovery workshops and creating design prototypesTranslating research and testing findings into actionable requirementsThriving in a highly collaborative, fast-paced, agile environmentWorking closely with product management, designers, engineers, and data scientists to deliver first-class user interfacesYour Competencies

Minimum 5 years of experience working in a high-tech UX team in a fast paced, multidisciplinary environmentBachelor or Master's degree in Human Factors, User Experience Design, HCI, Information Science or related disciplineMust include a web-based portfolio of past User Experience Design projectsDesired skills

As with all roles, Medidata sets ranges based on a number of factors including function, level, candidate expertise and experience, and geographic location.
The salary range for positions that will be physically based in the NYC Metro Area is $114,750-153,000
The salary range for positions that will be physically based in the California Bay Area is $121,500-162,000.
The salary range for positions that will be physically based in the Boston Metro Area is $113,250-151,000.
The salary range for positions that will be physically based in Texas or Ohio is $101,250-135,000.
The salary range for positions that will be physically based in all other locations within the United States is $102,750-137,000.
Base pay is one part of the Total Rewards that Medidata provides to compensate and recognize employees for their work. Most sales positions are eligible for a commission on the terms of applicable plan documents, and many of Medidata's non-sales positions are eligible for annual bonuses.
