Consulting firm in Gaithersburg, MD is seeking a full-time, permanent Senior Graphic Designer who is highly skilled and creative in layout and design to join our in-house design team. Candidate must have proven skills in creating visual concepts to communicate information. This includes developing graphics to increase the visual appeal of publications or understanding of messages; developing or refining graphic images; creating infographics; social media graphics; and desktop publishing, various publications. The ideal candidate will have expert knowledge of current design software and skilled with every step of the design process from concept to the final deliverable.
Requirements General Requirements:
Minimum BS/BA degree10+ years on the job experienceAbility to work as part of a project team as well as independentlyExperienced in managing teams and projectsMust be self-disciplined with effective time management abilities and organizational skillsThrives working in a fast-paced, multi-task environment with shifting prioritiesPossess strong interpersonal communication skills and customer-service attitudeExcellent presentation skillsExperience with government proposal design layout and development a plusPrior experience in a contractor environment a plus
Technical Requirements:
Proficient with MS Office SuiteExperience with design software such as Adobe Creative Suites including InDesign, Illustrator, PhotoShop, Acrobat Pro DC, Premier, Dreamweaver, After Effects and othersKnowledge of print production, including operating reproduction equipmentSection 508 compliance including remediation, QA/QC a plusExperience with photography and videography a plus
