JOB TITLE:

Designer II - Architecture

JOB SUMMARY:

A Designer II is an experienced unlicensed architect who actively participates in the delivery of a project design and the production of project collateral by performing architectural assignments under the direction of a Registered Architect. A Designer II is responsible to prepare, in a self-directed manner, presentation, schematic design, design development, construction documents, and construction administration documentation for completeness , accuracy, and that are well-coordinated with consultants.

RESPONSIBILITIES :

Specific responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following:

Adhere to both Cooper Carry and Client development standards to meet project goals and deadlines.Develop and modify design concepts that are based on given criteria and feedback.Collaborate in the design process in order to help the project team arrive at design solutions that resolve Client issues, expedite documentation, or better meet project goals.Prepare and produce design and construction documents for complex building structures.Develop and maintain knowledge of Cooper Carry projects and resources.Complete research concerning zoning, code, sustainable strategies, and building material/system subjects as needed.Contribute as required to the overall quality and success of the project, studio, and firm.QUALIFICATIONS:

Graduate of a NAAB-accredited architectural program with Bachelor's or Master’s level degree.Three to five years of relevant experience.Pursuant of Architectural Licensure.Demonstrates architectural skills that include hand-drawing, computer drafting, model building, rendering, and visual presentation competency utilizing internal resources.Demonstrates an understanding of building systems, sustainable practices, codes, and construction methods.Able to work with minimal supervision.Proficiency in Revit, CAD, Rhino, Photoshop, InDesign, Enscape, 3D modeling ,and rendering programs.Able to problem solve with an attention to detail and a desire to learn.SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES :

Able to lead small teams on a task-by-task bases.
